Do you really believe

Do you really, really believe that tomorrow [Aug 26] you can go to your local Honda dealer and see a 09 Fit?
I don't, but I really, really hope I'm wrong.

Well, im sorry to say, but you better get used to it. A lot, and i mean a lot of people are gonna get the new fit and flaunt it off here so, yeah. I dont think it will be that bad. We still got all the old guys who will always dominate with the first gens. Everthing will be fine.

yeah but the new guys are going to have to wait at least a year (like we did) to buy parts for our Fit.
it's one of the reasons why i hate buying new cars.

i would call the dealer, if they say yeah we're getting some tomorrow then i would say go check it out and test drive and post up your impressions.

I'm just looking forward to some full reviews of the new Fits besides just the first drives. One main concern also is if the paint has been improved but that will take time to discover.

Mine too... Ive been driving past every night doing a slow cruise through the lot, as well as peeking into their small on-site warehouse.... not to say they don't have another warehouse not so close to the lot.

No, I don't. I think it will be September before we see any here. My dealer is supposed to call me when they get one in to test drive. I'll believe that when it happens.

but will it be worth it? i've heard that they have that weird intake manifold thing going on like the r18 civics do.

but the torque curve is very flat according to edmunds and c/d, and that sounds like sex to me. if the enigine is smoother at all, it will be awesome.

you know...i have not thought about all the guys posting on fit freak with new gen fits...i will welcome them, but they best show some love; the first jackass who tries to post his new fit with cocky superiority is in for it.

on the vw forums, there is animosity between the rabbit and gti guys. the rabbit guys get no love, even though the rabbit was the forfather to the gti and otherwise it would not have been. respect your roots guys. that goes for all of you.

I don't think there would be anything to justify any animosity between Fit owners. They're all still gonna be Fits.

I asked two dealerships... one "promised" me taht i will be able to test drive one by next week after labor day in Canada.... as a matter of fact the Honda guys are getting a seminar Re: 09 Fit on AUg 26th.

I've also asked Rick.... maybe he can hook me up with a Testdrive earlier?

My gf thinks the front of the 09 is more sporty, more spacious inside, but she dun like the dash and center console (where the nav/deck is located)

I cant imagine if someone with the 09 start saying their fit is so much better than the 07-08.... I will be so mad (and in a way the 09 has to be better cos thats why its a 2nd gen - an upgrade)

As long as you donīt drive a 5AT... every time I "admit" to driving an automatic (which I personally prefer to MT), I pretty much get the cold shoulder.

While I'll be getting an MT, I don't see anything wrong with AT it's just people wanting to feel superior when they bash AT people. Overall AT or MT doesn't stop the Fit from being one of the best little cars out there.
