5 days to dead battery

If you leave your Fit undriven for several days you may come back to find a powerless Fit. There is a small but enough current draw to pull the battery down in 5 days, perhaps less.
You can disconnect the battery and recharge the battery and use code to get radio back up or use a solar charger inside.

mahout- sounds like you got some drain you dont know about on the
car.

my FitS was parked nearly 2 wks with no issues with start up earlier
this year. might want to get a cca tester and see what it reads.
as you know, it should read over 550, volt should be ideally 12.65v+
with no load.

Well then I think the reason is in the modifications you did, but please don't make people afraid by saying that it's on ALL Fits

I was a little shocked 'cause hubby will be gone for 2 weeks and has to leave the car in the airport parking lot during that time (we thought it's better to let the cheap car sit there for such a long time..) and I thought "OMG, how is he ever gonna come back when the car won't start"

Good point. I did have the guys put an ammeter on the circuit and they said there was a drain with everything off. We presumed it was the security system. Did you guys have base Fits?

Mine has sat for up to two weeks, but started with no problem. Maybe your battery has reached its lifespan limit on holding a charge? Sport here too.

it happen after the the independent fog lights???........before I could be gone for weeks and having all led mods and HID and the car will start up fine......I know our battery is small and all......probably need to check the fuse. But all the stock fits, you guy are fine b/c I left my fit off for 2 months while backpacking and came back it was all fine.....

I have a Sport, with independent fog lights and a sub/amp in the trunk. I've left mine for a week plus many many times with no problems. Left it in Miami International for 8 days. Left it in my driveway for week lengths quite a few times as well. No problems at all.

I doubt very much Honda would end of with such a design defect.

Your one sample is clearly not representative of all Fit It's more like a broken example

I left my fit in the garage for 2 months without driving it (I was away for the summer). and the battery was completely dead because I forgot to take it out (whoops)
I assume it is due to the aftermarket alarm system.
since then it has been dying on me (wont start) if I don't drive it for more than 2 days, which is really frustrating. I'm wondering if I should buy one of those battery chargers that you would plug into a wall socket.. and charge it really good for a day or whatever...

I have left mine undriven for a few days and when I came back to it, it started right up. There may be an excess drain somewhere in the harness of yours, maybe a slight short, or something is not completely shutting off. I have the factory installed security system on mine. Have had no power drian issues and mine is almost a year old.

I've had my fit for a year now, and I have an aftermarket compu-star alarm, a voltage stabilizer and other various electrical system mods. My battery just died for the second time today two months after the first time, a booster pack got it going again. I think I need a new battery. The first time it failed was after it wasn't driven for 3 weeks while I had it shipped across the country.

No biggie, batteries are consumable items and will need to be replaced... This gives me an excuse to get a nice optima or another deep cycle battery.
