17" Wheels for the Fit
Hi There,
Does any body know the off set for a 17" for the Honda Fit so it will not rub. I don't plan on lowering the car. The reason why I am asking is because I have the 17" on right now and is rubbing. Thanks

Yes, but in case you don't LIVE here on the forum, it is easier to ask a question unless some smartass like you answers back.

What about someone making up a table for diffrent tire sizes (withs), offset and how much the car is lowered. I presume those are the criterias for rubbing or not?
I searched myself and found that thread mentioned above but could not see a clear answer. But I'm hoping my new 17" wheels with 42 inpres and 205/40 tires on my car with stock suspension will work fine. Next question for me is how much can I lower it before I get rubbing issue?
A nice table or diagram here would be nice.

17x7 with 42 minimum offset if you don't lower and 45 if you do. Try to get as light a wheel as you can afford. Ditto 205/40x17 tires.

It's just these threads get repetative is all.

Hey Holloway, what size tires did you put on those 17?
Mine is 205/40/17 and not lowered. Going throught and intersection on 20mph and it rub. What's your take onr that? Any feed back would be good. Thanks

Those are the same size tires as I have. The rubbing will happen and as long as it's not bad, when your tires wear down they will rub less. Also, some tires have kind of a square sidewall on them that makes the tire a little wider which may rub some. I'm not real sure how to describe the tires better without pictures, but I hope that was a good enough description.
