Your emergency car kit with a small footprint?

Hey guys, what do sort of emergency kit do you carry in your Fit that has a small footprint to store in the rear cargo bay. You know something with the basics like a first aid kit, some small tools, jumper cables and perhaps an air compressor. Just something to handle the basics, not an emergency food supply or gear you might bring if you planned on driving to a very remote area far away from civilization. I found one such product online at Costco which is item 908319. I would post the whole link but it is very long.

First aid kit, a case of water, a few tools, a couple of ropes, and a moving blanket (doubles as cargo area protection and an emergency sleeping bag).

Currently just the honda jack/tools spare, and a set of jumper cables that I spooled up and set inside the rim for the spare.

I refuse to hook up jumper cables to my Fit, so I don't carry them - 5 years of emergency roadside service looks after that. A basic first aid kit with a few mylar blankets, small tool set (tire pressure guage in glove box), flashlight, Swiss Army knife, reflective vest, box of granola bars, two energy beverages, and some bottles of water. In winter I add a collapseable shovel, down sleeping bag, down parka, ski pants, winter boots, extra hat and gloves and windshield washer fluid good to -45C.

I *do* drive to remote northern areas on my regular commute, where bad winter weather and accidents often close the highway for hours. I have to be prepared to be stranded for hours and possibly spend the night in the vehicle. Ya gotta love those Magic Seats - LOL!

When I'm short on space, I carry a small road side kit and a first aid kit. The road side kit I got at Rite Aid for $10 (it's like this: Amazon.com: Auto Emergency Kit: Everything Else) and the first aid kit I got from Costco for $10.

I normally bring a jump starter, tool set, air compressor, foot pump, fix-a-flat, plugs, flash lights, batteries, and a lot of other random junk. And for long trips, I throw in a full size spare if I have space.

I always carry a first aid kid inside my spare tire. Then depending on my travel distance I keep another bigger kit that has an air compressor, electric impact gun, jumper cables and some other goodies in it in the hatch. During winter I try to keep a blanket or two in the car with some candles just in case.
