I believe mine is a little over $700/ 6 months. That is multi car, plus some other stuff. Good student discount, clean driving record, 19 yo.

$490 a year, here for full coverage through State Farm. 40... strike that. 41 yo male with wife, three kids, three cars (two of them paid for) and a mortgage.

None of the kids is old enough to drive, yet. I can't wait to see what it jumps to if/when I add a 16 yo boy to the policy. Oooof... I just realized that I'll have, at some point, two under 25 on the policy at the same time. I guess they'll have to get jobs if they want to drive the car.

We pay $190 a month for an 06 Civic SI and my AT Fit Sport. We are both 25 and have clean driving records in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

insurance agents?

I got an "automated ticket" for running a stop light. It's kind of ironic because I've been pushing these things in the interest of getting better mileage (saved alot of money???). I checked it out with my lawyer and it's $85 to plead guilty but it's not a point violation. Normally I'd pay him to keep my record clean to maintain low insurance rates. Are there any insurance agents that happen to be fitfreaks that might chime in and give there thoughts on this. In Missouri it takes 3 years for violations to "rotate" off your record. I'd, of course, prefer my record to remain squeaky clean but if the price difference $85 (guilty but no points) and $500 ($200 for city hall and $300 for my lawyer to go hang out at city hall) doesn't affect my insurance rates (the ONLY thing I care about) I'm leaning towards pleading guilty. The real question I'm asking, I guess, is "do non point violations affect your insurance rate?" Sorry about the wordy post!

Non point violations should not affect your insurance.

That's what I hope. I'm strapped for cash so I really have to choose the $85=plead guilty option.

Try this: call your insurance company and ask. As long as they don't know who is calling...

You may also want to check into two things:
1) Deferred adjudication. Some judges will allow it without you having ever set foot in a courtroom. In essence; you agree to pay the fine and, if you get no other violations for a set time, it doesn't go on your record. Call the circuit court clerk, magistrate's office, or whatever they call them in your area to find out.

2) Traffic school. Here, you can get a video mailed to your house and do it on your time instead of having to schedule it when it's convenient to them. Costs a couple of dollars more, but it keeps the ticket off your record.

insurance between a 08' Fit and a 05' Pilot

I am 46 and been with the same ins company since I was 18. I have had a boat load of insurance with them, no accidents. My 08' Fit Sport is $450 every six compaired to $330 for my 05 Pilot EXL worth 1 1/2 times as much as the Fit. Go figure... Must be how much it costs to fix a human body in the event........

I believe that for males, the age when your rates might drop is 25. Enjoy your youth! Yeah, right...but don't get any tickets in the meantime. It depends on where you live, also. Some areas of the country have really great rates, others, where there are more accidents, have higher rates. We get stuck for insurance.

I've had Safeco and they're "legit", if that can be said of ANY insurance company. If $200 sounds good WHAT ARE YOU PAYING NOW? I just pleaded guilty to an automated camera ticket and am worried about it affecting my rates but I pay $83 a month through Geico so maybe I should quit whining. I'm pondering increasing the deductible to $1000 and losing the rent a car replacement s&*t and that would reduce it to $73 a month. I'll shut up now!

My 2009 Dropped My Rate By 50 Bucks Over The 2008

Must be the superior crash protection the 2009 offers I suppose.

you made me decide to toy around with the quote a little..
If I move to Tallahassee Fl, the rate goes down $25 per month. If I get an '09 instead of an '07 like I want to it only goes down 4 dollars.. lol I'll stick with the '07...
