Sports exhaust systems

Sports exhaust systems
I just discovered that installing a sports exhaust system (e.g. Skunk2, Tanabe) would cost similar to a regular OEM exhaust system. Therefore, I am seriously considering installing a sports exhaust when it comes time to replacing my exhaust system (which could be 6+ years from now).
My questions are:
1) How durable are sports exhaust systems in comparison to OEM (in terms of life span)?
2) Are there any drawbacks to sports exhaust systems (I know that the benefits are better looks, nicer sound etc.)?

1. Any aftermarket exhaust assuming its not a knock off should be just as durable as any OEM exhaust system. Maybe even better. I have the Greddy TI-C and it has a total of maybe about 3000 miles on them. No damage anywhere to be seen.
2. The only drawbacks i can think of is cops may give you crap for being "to loud" but that shouldnt be a problem on the Fit.
