Was it a DIY? If so... yea, those brushes are horrible. I made that mistake.
The Meguires 3 stage wax will removed them. Itll take hours to do and DO NOT let stage 1 and 2 sit for too long.

see, but the meguiars is like $4-6 per bottle and there's 3 bottles :P. i used it once and gave it away. not impressed. there is a reason 3m products are more expensive than the "armorall" or "meguiars" products. the stuff works. no gimmicks. its what the professionals use

I go to DIY's a lot. I use the pressure wash part only. I bring my own bucket, soap, and mit.

Yea but it makes me feel better knowing that 3 bottles of product are working on my paint. Not just one.

Ive used 3M on a white car and saw the difference. I know it works.

do you understand what a "rubbing compound" or "polishing compound" or "wax" is doing?

the only car wash my car sees is me.. by hand once a week minimum, u use a very soft sponge lits of soap, and a california water blade to dry, then microfiber to dry the few spots i cant get, when i was (tech wax 2.0 every 2 months or so) i only use microfiber, i have never caused any paint damage doing it that way, yes it takes a while, but i enjoy doing it, plus the Fit just looks sexy as hell freshly waxed!

Sorry to hear about the mishap, good luck with your paint.... I think I'm going to wash and wax the Fit now.

in the winter time i take my dd's to the touchless wash. this place
has some really nice jets that cleans it well. the guys there wipe the
car down (nowhere near my standards, but oh well) at the end.

stay clear from those blue nylon brush washes and the
"soft cloth with grit from the previous car" washes.
those will swirl your paint very quickly.

ug, I bought my Fit so that I didnt have to worry about owning the thing. It’s a friggen $16K eco car. Hell, I had some guys dent the thing last time I took it into a car wash. They basically hit it so hard on the rear panel they dented it a bit... so what... I’ll go there again next time. People need to loosen up with this car, there’s not a single person on the road thats going to say.. oh look a Fit with a small dent... oh noz! Now, they might thing... oh look... a Ferrari with a small dent.. ouch. Ya'll need to just get over it, take the Fit to the car wash. $5 vs 1 hour of your own time that ever at min wage is what $7 an hour. Who cars. Live without worrying about your car, especially the Fit. Sorry, but this car just does not justify a hand car wash at $20.. Christ its a Honda Fit.

If said person was thinking about buying that Fit, they would probably notice every little ding.

I take very poor care of the exterior of all my cars. Some guys enjoy taking top care of their cars, some don't. Either way is cool with me. But when I'm buying a used car, I want it to be from a guy not like me!

Why do you even bother washing your Fit if that's your mentality?

Im the type of person that would put plates on my Fit that say "keyThis". If people want to screw with cars... fine... key the Fit... but dont F with the Z06 or 911 in the garage.

I wash the Fit for no more reason then my personal safety. I’m fully aware that most people are not actually *checking me out* when I drive a Fit so keeping the car clean at all times is not a priority.
