What I fit into my Fit

What I fit into my Fit
OK, this morning I took my father up to BestBuy so he could buy a new flat panel TV. I said, 'let's take my Fit, it'll handle everything'.
After shopping around, he (we) settled on a Samsung 46" LCD. Then my dad said, 'oh, I might as well pick up a new tv stand and a speaker system while I'm at it'.
No prob, I thought. Then we got outside and I pulled the Fit up to the front of the store to load up.
The large TV stand box went in. (both back seats down) Then the 46" TV on top of that. I had to pull both front seats up just a little bit and recline the seats up a tad as well. (I'm 6'2", my dad 6' and he also had polio when he was a kid and cannot bend his left leg) TV made it in and back is latched. I turned around and my dad is standing there with the cart and the home theater-in-a-box box still sitting there. 'Crap!' How the ....
I went to the driver's side back door and opened it. And to my surprise there was exactly the right amount of space to place this box.
This after I opened the back to realize I forgot to take out some boxes from work!
I cannot believe it all fit. I was a little cramped driving home and my dad seemed just fine and comfortable, but never the less, I made it.
When I got to my parent's house, my mom saw all of the boxes lying on her living room floor then looked out the window at my car and said, 'Those all fit in your car????'
With a big smile I said 'Yes, yes they did!'

Can anyone tell me (or has a pic) of how much can fit into the rear of the fit without rearranging the back seat (in other words, if I had to carry passengers in the back seat)?
I love what I am seeing as to how much space is in the fit but I am wondering how much room it would have back there if I had 4 people in the car and couldn't move the rear seat. How much room is sacrificed with the hatchback as compared with, say, the trunk of a Civic?

I would imagine about the same a Civic trunk.

In one weekend, I had a friend and his "portable" (read: massive) massage table in the back of my Fit, then, my girlfriend and her brother picked up a new grill for their Dad at Home Depot, I folded down the seats, put the grill (still in its box) right in and there was still room in front of it for my girlfriend and her brother's girlfriend to sit comfortably (although without seatbelts unfortunately). I have a picture of it somewhere.
Also, my bike fits better in the back with the seats folded down than it does in the back of my brother's CR-V. Yes, the back of our car is longer with the seats down than a CR-V with seats down, the CR-V is just taller inside.

I got a back patio door(!) in successfully with all the doors and windows closed and my heavily pregnant wife in the back seat behind me. Slid the front seat up all the way, folded it down, removed the headrest, and folded down the rear seat behind it. No trouble! Amazing -- I would have probably needed to keep the tailgate down to put the thing in the back of a midsize pickup!
Regularly carry my upright bass and amp.

Whoever it was, I think it was only a mattress and bedframe, because the mattress can be bent.
Forget about a double box-spring though; it barely fit in my dad's minivan.
I measured the cargo and hatch opening dimensions a few weeks ago, you can find my rough results here
A 200cm x 110cm x 40cm object probably won't fit, since I measure the widest part of the hatch at about 106 cm... though I'm surprised that an IKEA shelf ships in a 110 cm-wide box. That's probably the assembled dimensions, right? The boxed product will probably fit in Long Mode.
