Different size tire question
I see the stock base Fit tire size is 165/65/R14. My still good snow tires from previous vehicle is 185/65/R14 (wider). Will these fit on the stock base rim? Also if I just wanted to put the snows on a different rim rather then change over twice a year, where would I get and how much would the rims cost?

Since they are both 14 inch tires (rim diameter), the wider tire will fit on the rim. The problem is that the 185 tire has a larger outside diameter (22.5 vs 23.5) and will give you false odometer/speed info. Your acceleration performance may also suffer as you are essentially gearing the car taller with bigger tire. There may also be rubbing issues in the wheel wells if there is a lot of suspension travel. In addition, you generally want to run a narrower tire for snow driving. You can get cheap steel rims at many online tire dealers

As per tireracks database theyre 175/65/14's. Not many cars come with 165's now a days. Im actually surprised that theyre 175's. I thought most cars with 14's roll on 185's now.
185/60/14 or a 195/60/14. The 195 would be perfect. Might be hard to find.

Yes, you're right, I read the tire size wrong. As stated per tire rack, they are 175/65/14's. Are the Dunlop stock tires really crappy? I was looking at the specs at tire rack and it doesn't even come with a tread warranty. I'm assuming you get at least 40k out of them?
