Steering Wheel Vibration & PSI???

I noticed that my Fit was getting a bit squirrelly in the rear tires when going around a corner fast, or rounding a long bend in the freeway. Nothing to worry about there, as I knew it was a simple matter of adding some air to the tires. I have had my Fit about a month and a half now, and with the heat lately I'm not surprised I've lost some air already.

My tires were all low by 2lbs (30psi all around while the door sticker states 32psi)...I went ahead and put in exactly 33psi while cold, and now I'm good in the turns again of course, but the ride has gotten rougher than it used to be: Particularly in the steering wheel. It doesn't shimmy at all really, I just feel a lot more road vibrations in it.

I'm only 1lb above the stated setting so I'm confused at how the ride can be this rough. It wasn't anything like this since I've owned it. Anyone else experience this? Is this a normal thing with full tires? I mean the sport stockers say they can go 44psi max. Not on this car!!!

first off, the dealer rarely checks tire pressure when your new car
rolls off the lot. not sure why, but it appears it is not one of their
protocol's. i buy a car every year and each time im finding that the
psi is low. my FitS rolled out at 28psi. wtf.

the tire does not necessarily loose air due to heat. the air expands
inside the tire and you should see an increase in psi on hotter days
even while cold. (1psi change for every 10F change).

it is natural for the tires to transfer noise into the cabin at higher
psi. wat you're feeling sounds normal and you should let the tires
break-in more. it should not feel loose if only 33psi cold.

if you are feeling vibrations through your steering wheel you might
want to get the front tires re-balanced. dealer should take care
of that under warranty if it's only a few weeks since purchase.

if you plan on doing any thing to your wheels tho or want them to look nicer make sure they use sticky weights when they balance them.

thats weird you notice such a HUGE difference in 2psi, im running 45psi all around (sidewall says 51psi max) and it is definatly a firm ride to say the least... but i dont find it overly bothersome....

put nitrogen in your tires. they dont inflate or deflate to temperature!

but that doesnt seem right. your tires may be off balanced
