Arrow Tamiya Honda 1/24 Fit-Jazz model kit

I purchased this Tamiya model kit today for $18.99. I noticed that the front bumper is not the same design from the sport model here in the U.S. So I will assemble it as a LHD Jazz model with the black housing headlights. I would like to paint it "Vivid blue pearl," but I don't which Tamiya spray can will match the color? If you have built one of these toys before, please let me know. Thanks!

i'm working on one right now.
this is the first gen fit. it's actually the jdm bumper that i'd like to swap to one day.
you can either buy a paint that is close to VBP or you can have an auto paint shop sell you a spray can of it.

on edit:

is that the yellow FD from initial d in the background?

If Tamiya doesn't make the color, then check out the many other brands out there.
I used to build model cars a long time ago. I think I'll have to find me one of those.

Yup, it is! I can't wait for Initial D stage 5.

Illusive, which TS-paint did you apply on your model? Is that TS-51 (Racing Blue) or did you select the color "Eternal blue pearl" from the instructions?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'll post some pics in progress. Stay tuned.

Actually I used my on concoction to make up the colour. It's actually a touch darker than I would have liked. I used Tamiya Metallic Blue spray paint after some primer as my base, then used some Duplicolor Anodized Blue paint with a clearcoat on top. If you want an exact match, I'd go to an auto body shop that can put automotive paint into spray cans for you. Otherwise, the easier route would be with my previous experience is to use a dark grey primer as a base (I used a white primer so it was brighter than I wanted), then use Tamiya metallic blue. Will definitely want a good 5 coats on the car and make sure none of that primer peeks through. Top it all off with a clear and that will probably give you the best results IMO. Tamiya is pretty good about their paints as well, so maybe follow their guidelines.

i'd like a toy version of my nhbp. my friend has a lime green 2005 mustang and found a toy the same color. i've been sooo jealous. i've seen toy fits of different sizes and color, but can't find nhbp, or even straight black. painting sounds like too much work to put into a knick-knack.

EBBRO makes models of the fit in black

but they're nearly impossible to find, and they're usually fairly pricey.

I feel like the 40 year old virgin. They're not toys...they're collectibles.

Here are the latest updates to my model. It's not perfect, but its decent. I changed my mind and decided to go with a non-factory blue instead. It's called "telefonica blue." I spent about $30 worth of paint supplies! I'm having one problem with the rear shaft piece in this model. The tires just keep on slipping off even though the instructions says not to glue the rear shaft. I find it odd that the front axle of this model is longer than the rear axle. There must be something wrong? Is that how the Fit is designed in the undercarriage?
