Does anyone else get this? Driving, cruising down the freeway or road, minding your own business when a ricer pulls up and starts reving the crap out of you? My car is bone stock sport and I must get this every day, if not every other day. It's annoying but I'm starting to get used to it so I can ignore them...but I must admit I was getting frustrated about these guys in the begining. ANyone else had the same thing happen?

I have a Lexus gs that I always drove so not many people wanted to race me, although the GS430's V8 kicks butt.

Happens all the time and especially if it is modded in any way. Worse when you are at a light Just ignore and drive on as if they aren't there, let them be stupid!

 

Yeah the time that pissed me off, was when I had 4 children in the car, some integra pulled up with his gf and started revving me. One is 10, the back seat I had a 9yr old, 8 yr old and a 7yr old (My gf's little bros and sis).

Wish I still had my EK Cvic...

haha, it has not happened to me a single time with this car. try to take it as a compliment, maybe that will help ease the anger. that's what my friend does when guys try to hit on his girlfriend.

Hasn't happened to me, but what I find frustrating is other fit drivers ignoring me.

Anytime I pass a fit and wave they look at me like I'm crazy. Even when I pass one thats the same color.

 

i get it all the time... last time i drove some kid in a huge jacked up diesel truck tryed to race me... despite his taunting i shook my head no and laughed, when the light went green he did a huge gas wasting burn out and sped off... i was like wow you can kill the planet! then 20 min later, a new BMW (3 series) wanted to race (like i stand a chance) light green he tears off, now why does everyone assume cuz i am in a red honda i want to race? i mean really we could probably beat a smart car, or a yaris... thats it lol

 

i get all these punks thinking i'm a civic SI hatch. really stupid.

Never happens to me. I drive on the right or middle lane. I have had people try to crash into me, but that's a different story.

Only happend to me a couple times in the Fit, then when they pull up and see the old guy driving (me) they realize they wasted a bucks worth of gas by revving for nothing and go about their merry way.

If I am in the NSX however, I get it all, from thumbs up gestures from different car owners and fans. To the mentioned ricers revving. To Honda haters. Usually same result though, see the old guy, realize he doesn't care what they think, move on.

Kinda cool being old I guess sometimes hehe.

-HKS, Apexi, Volk, Blitz, Axis <-Yes, 2 wheel company stickers
-Overkill window visors that look like it fits a Huge Van
-Dark red window tint
-Auto with Tach gauge
-Red steering wheel cover, red seat cover with flames on it
-black rusted hood
-Black widow body kit thats cracked, different color and almost hanging off the car

IT was horrible...and he wanted to race me in my Fit...

 

I got this in Philly the other night, I was on Market St. heading back toward 95 when two older Civics with exhaust systems (and I think that's about it) pulled up on my right side and started staring me down and revving. It was pretty funny, I just let them take off when the light turned green and went on my merry way back to Delaware.

 

Makes me want to do a K20 swap...lol
