Do I Fit?

Do I Fit?
I am thinking of buying a used Fit once I get some money saved up. I am sixteen and want this car because it not fast enough to get me into trouble, handles great, holds a ton of stuff, and is great on gas. Plus, my current Dodge Avenger ES is a pile so there is incentive for me to get a new car (meaning the brakes in the Avenger are completely shot and I when I brake the entire car shakes and have had them looked and need to be replaced completely).
Thanks

Consumer Report says "Fits are the least expensive car to own." My advice is...just don't turn the curve too fast and you won't get pulled over. Also note that you won't see your MPG increase until the first couple of thousand miles. But you should still get 25-30 miles per gallon. Because the engine is pretty much underpowered, oil changes will last for least 5,000 mile intervals, somtimes more. The sticker on the windshield said "No Tuneups until after 100,000 miles (conditions varies)" when I bought mine. Also, the 09 models suppose to come out soon, so Honda might be getting rid of the 08's soon.
So, you have time to decide if you want to look for the 08's right now or wait the 09 models when it comes out. The fit might lack power, but the space, handling, fuel efficiency combination makes up for it.

I definately want a mint used 2007 or left over 08 I personally don't like the appearance of the 2009 (as much as the 07/08) and like the mods available to the current Fit. Also currently in my Avenger I am only getting 15 mpg.

I have been looking for a Fit but have not found one under $10 and that's my limit (part-time at WalMart) but did find this 03 Civic Si, Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com, good deal?

Get a 08 Fit !
I love my 08 NHB Fit Sport with about 1,500 miles so far. Gas Mileage is good even though I drive everywhere like I am in a rally race I did install a Zeta dead pedel (a must have for the Fit). The carpet is a little low end and the seats could use a bit more adjustment but overall it is the #1 sub compact in America.
Honda Fit is rated the best sub-compact in the US per J.D. Power!

Good luck, the Fit has a little zoom zoom to!

Tough Decision!!!!
The Fit is the car I really want but don't really want a brand new car because I am still in High School and my Avenger has taken a beating in the parking lot because people have no respect so I am worried but I have until September because I can't get a new car until I pay off my Zuma (scooter).

sounds like your rotor is warped. get it resurfaced for 70 bucks. heh
sometimes i dont see justice in buying a new car.
like if your old car runs fine and gets like 25mpg that still is better then buying a new fit.
sure we get like 35mpg but your also paying 250+a month on car payments.
so your really not saving much.
but i guess i would do it, if your not happy with your car now..sell it.

You'll be hard pressed to find a mint condition Fit for less than $10,000. Maybe a base you might be able to talk a private seller down but dealers are not giving much at all on Fits. I'd stay away from the EP3 in your situation, it's not crazy fast by anymeans but for the size of the motor and car it gets pretty crappy gas mileage from what I've heard. Although the styling is spot-on for my tastes.

09 maybe?
Being that the 07/08's are so hard to come by should I just wait and consider an 09 in 2 or 3 years, and I do like the styling. It has grown on me every time i have seen a picture.

You may find a used 06-08 then but good luck!
if you can afford it i would def just go ahead and get a new fit
that may even take a while to find the color you want
whatever you do just keep it reasonable, youre still in high school...
you can't expect too much unless your parents are payin, haha atleast i couldn't when i was in school
