New FIT problem with seating configuration

Just got my wife's new FIT last week- Tidewater Blue. She just LOVES it. Only have about 200 miles on it so far. Everything is so straightforward and easy for her to use including all the seating configurations and the large radio knobs and writing (she doesn't need her glasses to read the dislpay). However I just noticed something that seems like a flaw in the seating configurations. From everything I've read you, should be able to push the front seats forward all the way and then recline the seat back so it lines up with the rear seat cushion forming a lounge chair configuration. However when I attempt to do this the front seat back cannot recline fully flat cause it's being obstructed by the rear seat cushion. I made sure that the front seat was ALL the way forward. What am I doing wrong? Does anyone else have the same problem???

recline the rear seat first and then it will line up. Use the lever that fold the seat flat, lift up and the back pf the rear seat will recline about 1 inch. This will enable the seat to go into refresh mode.

You have to have the back seat all the way back and front seat all the way forward with the headrest off. Then recline the back of the front seat about halfway. Then lift the back seat (the part you sit on, not the back) up a little. With the rear seat up and the front seat laid halfway down, push the front the rest of the way down as you put the rear seat back down at the same time. This way they will push against each other as they both go down and it will work right into place. I had to get a friend to help me the first time, i couldnt figure it out either. Hope this helps, there's always a write up somewhere on it.

perfect!!

Just tried your suggestions and it worked. The key is to first put the back seat in the recline (refresh) position and then it works perfectly! Thanks again for the help!
