Scangauge and A/C?

I have a Scangauge but it's not in my Fit right now because I sent it in to be upgraded to "X" gauge.

My question is whether the Scangauge mileage readout changes when you turn on the A/C?

Does the Scangauge display actual mileage or is it just an estimate based on engine size, throttle position, previous tank entries, etc,?

Yes expect a big jump down on MPG and GPH when you turn it on. That will improve as you drive. I have commented on that in SG Schooling a few times. AC uses gas for sure.

I know turning on A/C uses gas, I just didn't know if the Scangauge reflected that change in the display when you turn it on.

thanks!

If you're talking about the realtime MPG reading, it is a calculated value: MPH / GPH.

Ok, but is the calculation based on actual fuel flow, engine loading, throttle ,etc., or is it just an estimated calculation based on engine size, type (4 cyl, 6 cyl, etc).

I'm wondering because in the setup you have to enter that data, and then you have to "accurize" the realtime MPG reading by entering in fuel usage after several tankfuls.

Maybe it's based on both realtime measurements and previously entered data and I'm just having a hard time getting my head around how it works?
