Well, the Fit is a no go. This truck backed into me while trying to parallel park. He didn't check behind him or his mirrors. I guess he didn't here my long sustained horn. The worst part is that the driver lied to the cop saying that I was speeding and rear ended him. I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP!!!! You don't know how much stress this guy's causing me. The investigation is still pending.

My wife was with me. She couldn't help but call everyone. I had to take a minute to calm down before driving back home. Guess I'll be taking the bus.

JDM front end? Looks like we don't even need those 5mph bumpers since everyone else's car in America is a huge SUV that goes over our bumper.

Also, if you were speeding and slammed into him, wouldn't your airbags have gone off?

Oh God man that really sucks! Especially with the other guy lying to the police. Did the cops believe him? It looks like got some pretty good photographic proof, it doesn't at all look like speeding damage, you could take the a%#hole to court if you have to.

It's obvious that you weren't speeding! Those cops are dumb, but I guess they do have to look into both your stories.

That looks like a 35mph street. It should be obvious that the damage isn't from you rear-ending the truck at 35+mph. And your airbags didn't go off. If you were speeding and hit him, they would've gone off.

**** that truck driver.

Perhaps time for a horn upgrade? I wonder if an airhorn can fit...

The cops didn't even asked why he was stopped in the first place? He can't lie in court and get away with it. Well, you should make it clear that there was nobody in front of him when he stops. If he said there was, ask him what kind of make/model car was in front of him. And if he doesn't answer, it makes him look like he's either lying or doesn't remember the detail that day. Also, but looking at the picture. It doesn't look like there should be much traffic. I don't see any on the left side. Another thing...I can see the license plate of that Lexus clearly in that picture. Tundra driver = not smart, he's going to have to lie his way further to try to get himself out. I hope they do a fraud investigation on this guy because I really HATE people like that!!!!!

damn man that really sux... but i wouldnt worry bout him lieing... make sure your insurence co. gets your side of the story strait... if it ends up in court there will be sufficient evidence that he hit you... not the other way around... plus if you were speeding and hit him... there would A. be skid marks from your desperate attempt to slow down... or B. a S^%* ton more damage cuz u were blind and missed his planet killing fake truck... i wouldnt worry about it too much, there is sufficient evidence tht you were not at fault... good luck and keep us posted

That sucks. I had a guy lie about an accident on me a few years ago. He was even so bold to say he found a witness later that day at a resturant he was at. He then had this fake witness call on the phone to his insurance company and back up his total lie. But when they asked him to come in and make a statement in person he was to busy to come in. After all he was a busy doctor.
Eventually his insurance company paid in full for the accident. I never saw the guy again but if i did iam not so sure i wouldnt have pounded him good.
My point is this guy might continue to lie and make all sorts of wild claims, just be ready for it.

Sorry about your accident. People will do anything these days to get out of being responsible. Try to get as much as you can out of that asshole!

That sucks. I hate stoopid people like that who know they did something wrong and purposfully lie and then other people get in trouble for it.

As long as you and your wife are ok is all that matters.
