How do you drive your Fit?

How do you drive your Fit?
Are you guys pretty conservative driving as if it's your first time, or do you gun it and treat it as if it were a racecar, or do you just only look at it as a commuter car? What's speeds do you drive at? Do you try to push the gas pedal through the floor? Do you use cruise control? What about those rpms, ever redline? What's your mpg so far?
Well, I drive mine as if it were my first time driving. Then again, it's a new car and my parents just got it for me. So I'm pretty conservative, I drive the speed limit in city and only usually do 60 and not over on the freeway.

I drive it like its stolen..... seriously though I drive pretty good. For the most part the speed limit in the City and at most 5 over on the freeway. I do like to open it up though on the on/off ramps and on some back roads at 3am

i NEVER go over the speed limit cuz im a wuss about getting speeding tickets lol. but from 0 to the speed limit, its like a bat out of hell or if im in the canyone i drive like mr MNfit here states, like its stolen lol. my car has barely 5k miles on it so im sure its broken in by now

my fit has like 18k on it. i usually speed everywhere. bout 10 to 15 over speed limit. every once in a while ill take it out to a parking lot and to some dough nuts. its a fun little car. i feels like a go cart. lol.

im in this class but usually bout 10km/h over the limit when every possible.its the sport muffler, i love the sound so much im always gunning it.

i vary my driving, from grandma style to avg. 10 over(most of my driving) and even like the road is my race track occasionally i love cornering hard in the Fit, triple the speed limit around tight turns is not uncommon for me (like 65 mph around a hairpin designated 20 mph)

My first car, and driving M/T for the first time, so I drive it fairly conservatively. No rocket launches, shift around 2500 RPMs, coast to any anticipated stops (if safe and not preventing someone from getting into an advance-green turn lane in time).
Go just above the speed limit within city, but on freeways I'm usually about 20 km/h above the freeway speed limit.

Well I am like the above - I can hit it from 0 to the speed limit and then look up and wonder why everyone is still at the light. I don't outright speed maybe 2 over the limit but that is about it. I got one speeding ticket in the 80's for going 60 in a 40 mile zone - the payment of that ticket made me promise myself not to speed again.

That pretty much sums it up for me too.

I tried taking it easy... Shifting at 3,000rpm, light foot on the gas, all that crap just to see if the gas savings would be worth it. IMO it's not.
I try not to redline it in EVERY gear. When I can, I'll heel-toe through some right turns at about 25-35mph. Cruise HWYs around 75mph... Basically, a typical California driver.

I’ve been trying to maximize mpg as best I can. No other reason than to just do it. I still put premium fuel in it. I swing the car around a lot in the handling department and have fun with it. But I also feel no necessity to drive this thing like it’s a hot rod, it’s simply not. There’s no reason to slam the accelerator on a Fit, I would have bought a real car for that kinda thing. But one can tap its real potential and that’s throwing it around in corners and that doesn’t bust the gas gauge. Every corner is a new adventure. I’ve never been much of a straight line guy anyways.
My typical drive now entails finding a truck to draft with on the way to work in the left lane doing the speed limit.

i drive mine pretty lively, never abusive. sometimes spiritedly but not
quietly at all. i hit redline on occassion. im not shy to rev the motor
high.
car moves like it's in slow motion to me though.

Yea, i drive my car like i hate its guts (i love my car, honest). 1st gear rarely stops under 3k. 2nd gear roughly the same. once i hit third i'm either still flooring it or i skip to 5th. Most of the time i'm btwn 5-20mph over the limit, depending on my mood. i'm never at or below speed limit. On the freeway is when i try to cash in on mpg and i cruise at 60-75ish. Occasionally (by occasionally i mean frequently) I'll drop a gear and gun it through 3rd (which tops out at 80 if you shift at 6.5k on a m/t fyi) just to wake ppl up.
Before i was sooper charged, i got roughly 27-30mpg. Now with the Kraftwerks kit, i'm at 25-27ish mpg.
lol, i'm probably that guy that you flipped off and cursed at on the freeway.

I shift between 2800 and 3500, just depends on traffic, road size, and what sort of mood I'm in. I usually go about 5 over the limit, seldom faster. On the highway I go whatever speed I think won't get me run over, which tends to be about 65-70mph.
