1st fill, pretty good!
I did my first fill today.
I picked up my car with 15km on the odo so I subtracted it from the total before figuring it out. And I do not know how full the dealer filled it.
527km traveled city/highway
327 miles
34.42 litres filled (I filled to one more click after it stopped)
7.58 Imperial gallons (9.09 U.S gallons)
327 divided by 7.58 = 43.13 mpg Imperial or
= 35.97 mpg U.S
I am very pleased. My V10 would have gulped down over $250 to do the same thing.
I am going to assume this will improve slightly as the powertrain breaks in.
Very effecient!

I filled up my first tank too, last Saturday. I got just under 33 mpg, about 2/3 city driving. I didn't even have to try hard!
I didn't modify any of my old A/T habits, like coasting to a known stop, no rocket launches, etc. Some new M/T ones like trying to be in 5th gear if I'm cruising above 60 km/h (~38 mph), shifting by 2500 rpms, etc.
Once I'm more comfortable with M/T I'll try some more fuel-saving techniques. I'm maintaining a spreadsheet to keep track of my per-tank mileages.
I have to remember to simply stop at the first click when filling though; I threw my numbers off by putting more into the tank after the click (how much more can it take after the first click anyway? I chickened out after 2L).
