2008 AT - Jerks when shifting from 1st to 2nd
Hello all,
This is my first post here. I searched a bit but couldn't find any specific info on this.
I noticed on my 2008 AT fit, when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd it tends to jerk a bit. It's definately not as smooth as the other gears. Is this normal? It seems to happen weather I'm accelerating fast or slow.
I'm not the most knowledable about cars in general so maybe this is a noob question..
EDIT: sometimes when I have to floor it, it shifts much smoother. I suspect this might be because its going from 1st to 3rd? Not sure...
Thanks for your help!

Mine also does that, but its because I have it in sport and using the paddles. Whenever I usually feel a jerk is when the car doesn't shift up into 2nd after coming to a complete stop. RPMs are usually like this whenever it happens.
Stop @ 800 (idle)
1st - throttling up to 2-2.5K shift
jerk, 2nd RPMs hold steady at 3k.

yea that's totally normal. i have an 07 sport auto, it's done that forever. it's a little thing called "shift shock." you could almost describe it as the car "popping" from first down to second, ha? don't worry about it, that's just quality honda right there, shifting from first to second in milliseconds.
