shifting no more than 3500 rpm

cruising like 60-70mph

city driving as well.

with the AC on when its hot. (i dont roll down windows)

i filled her up at costco and got 34.646mpg

i think that's pretty good.

gosh i wanna hit 1,000 miles already on the odometer so i can finish break in and hit VTEC.. haha!

btw, congrats on the good mileage.

 

shift at 2500 rpms, drive 60mph and set your A/C on the coldest setting and the lowest fan speed on recirculation/recycle mode and you will get around 45 mpg assuming your are not gunning it when you take off from a stop.

 

I too had my first fill up this week. 1, one hour trip home from the dealer and the rest was city driving. Shifting mostly at 2500, very limited AC use for defrosting on a couple of mornings. Miles on the car was 6xx

I have a new manual transmission Fit, and my first fill-up showed 34.9 mpg (very similar to two other first fill-ups on this thread). Second was 43.1, and third was 40.9. I try to drive sanely and to coast on long downhills. I love this car, because not only is it a gas-saver, it's so much fun to drive!
