Picked up my new 08 Fit
I picked up my 2008 Nighwawk Black Honda Fit Sport AT yesterday and after about 50 miles so far but I absolutely love it! It is quite quick and sticks to the road like glue. I have been rocking out on the stereo and having so much fun zipping around. I left my gas sucking 2000 Ford F-150 Ford Supercab at home for occasional weekend use hauling plywood and big loads! I have already ordered a dead pedal from Zeta and it should arrive on 05/08/08.
This new Fit will be my mostly daily driver, back and forth to work, etc. Coming from the Ford Truck, the Fit moves along very well and it will not cost $75 to fill up.
I can imagine a Fit with a turbo or the big Acura engine and I bet they zoom enough to be scary.
Fit Rules!

Congrats on the new car be careful when your zooming around tho I had an incident yesterday were I probably would have gotten a ticket ( wasn't speeding just was accelerating fast and taking corners pretty fast ) but the cop assumed I turned when I actually was just turning around

Saving gas and having fun!
Thanks to all. This is a great group with a lot of knowledge and some fun along the way.
First day driving to work in my new 2008 Honda Fit Sport. As you guys know, the Fit zips along pretty well even though I am trying to keep it light for engine break-in. It moves much faster than my old gas hog Ford F-150 SuperCab. Driving to work in the Fit was even a bit fun! It is nice to zip along, listen to some good tunes (I had my Sansa running Rockbox plugged into the AUX jack) and still get around 25 mpg.
Much better than the old $75 per tank in the truck.
Saving gas is cool

Installed the Dead Pedal !
I received my dead pedal from Zeta Products yesterday and got it installed. I love it and recommend it for any Fit owner who needs a dead pedal. I took about 20 minutes and it seems the hardest part is getting the plastic cover and kickplate off. I used both a 1/2" drive big socket wrench with a 10mm socket and a 1/4" drive 10mm socket on a screwdriver end and it was fairly easy to get the bolts back with the bracket in-place. Much more support for cornering and now I have a place to firmly put my left foot.
Zeta has some cool products, good prices and they ship zoom fast!

I'm glad youre loving it. I work as a technician for a Honda dealer here in Memphis and our whole used car lot is full of Ford and Chevy trucks due to gas prices. I always try to speak to the new Honda owners and theyre so surprised on how fun these little cars are. Have fun!<~~~steve
