My Fit was stolen by a Crackhead at the Carwash

Real Talk. While rinsing the dust and bugs off my 08 SSM Fit Sport, a crackhead walks up to me saying that i raped his girlfriend. We exchanged words until i had to finally threaten him and ask him to leave. ( I had a knife in my hand) He then made it clear that he had a gun tucked into the front of his pants. He never really made it clear as to what he wanted from me, so i pulled out the cell already dialed to 911. As I told the operator my location , and that i needed an officer there right away because a guy was threatening me with a gun, the crackhead ran around to the door of my car jumped in a drove off. The cops found the car about 3 hrs later w/ the crackhead behind the wheel. The interior was drenched in Miller High Life and he used my cup holders and shifter boot for an ash tray ( probably Kool's) He burned a huge hole in my passenger seat and little burn spots all over the stock head unit contols. On the outside of the car he only gave my driver side skirting some serious curb rash. My ipod nano and digital camera were gone too, most likely traded for drugs. He had crack and other drugs on him, so i got super-interrogated by the investigator. Apparently there are people willing to trade thier cars for drugs and then say the car was stolen! since the car has only 6000 miles on it, im tradin it in for a new one. Im thinkin maybe VBP this time around?

so NEVER LEAVE YOUR KEYS IN YOUR CAR!
(or a crackhead will steal it from you, trust me)

thieves are becoming much more creative as far as auto theft goes.

some thieves will place/tape a sheet of paper on your rear window so that when you get into your car, start the engine, then notice you've got a sheet of paper in the way of your view, get out to remove the paper, they'll jump into the driver's seat and drive off

another story i heard; they'll tell you that one of your tires are flat on the freeway. when you pull to a shoulder, a 2nd car pulls up behind you, someone runs out and takes off with your car

NEVER LEAVE YOUR KEYS IN THE IGNITION

I had a 1st gen RX7 that was my project car stolen from the driveway of my new (at the time) house. It had a $3500 just in the engine! I have never been so mad in my life!

That crack head would have been dead if it was me. I legally carry on me at all times. I would not think twice if he pulled one me.

Yeah man if that happened to me I'd totally pull on him and if he tried to run I'd just uppercut him and throw him down using my mad tyte martial arts and then back over him with the Fit! /internet toughguy

Seriously though...definitely sucks to lose your car. Apparently manual transmission cars are less likely to be stolen. Something to think about...

shit i leave my keys in my car all the time. i wouldnt mind having someone jack my car, and do only that stuff.

i mean its a hassle. but look on the bright side, you get to get another new car with a new color.

my vote is blackberry pearl or blazing orange metallic.
