I told the insurance exactly what happened (crackhead and all, its true). They are gonna replace the seat cover and side skirt. The "burns" on the head unit ended up bein beer spots all over the dash area. It wiped off after some scrubbing. I had the whole interior shampoo'd (how the hell do you spell that)twice , headliner and all.
Insurance is reimbursing that as well. The car is still uncomfortable to drive and i catch myself driving it harder than usual because im pissed about it all. I might end up waiting on the 09 Fit to come, but im not sure if i would like it as much as the 08.

 

I normally dont leave my keys in the car like that, but i wanted to run the winshield wipers while i was washin it to help get the bugs and stuff off easier.

well this is the EXACT reason why i carry a gun at all times i live in orlando crack head capital of the USA (IMO) and these people just come up to you likes its nothing i member i was at a little meet with Ray and Jerome and this crack head lady walked up and did not ask for money she freaking demanded it and she was like "how my gona eat gimi money now" at that point i knew i could take her i did not need no gun. but still that crack head was crazy!!!!

 

wow..that sux that that happen to you..sory to hear but at least now people thinking FIT worth something ..yeah you never know what you would do in situation til it happens.. some people are trying that trick around here of putting paper underr front wiper and then taking stuff when people start car and get out to get paper....

 

Sorry to hear about your ride at least the prospect of getting a new Fit should make it better. Good lesson for all of us not to leave the car unlocked or keys in the ignition so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thanks for sharing your story
