None of the Honda branded cars I have ever bought (including S2000's) come with the floor mats. Always an added part. Acuras do though.

We ordered my wifes Fit in March of 2006, didn't get it until late May! This was when it was really hard to get your hands on one.

Its kinda odd! I got it with a full tank and now I have 100 miles on it. The weird thing is that I’m almost at 50% of my tank. Seems like its not getting the mpg that I was expecting yet

Nope, This is Honda's base car.
No mats, no nothing on the base Fit.
fit sport includes many of the basics but no mats.

You have a choice of carpet mats or All Season rubber mats.

In addition stuff also left out-
Rear storage area cargo cover
Rear storage area floor mat (rubber)
Rear outside bumper protector (this was already on my Honda Odyssey)
Driver's dead pedal for the left foot

Well, I went to the gas station for the first time and dropped my first 6 gallons in it. I actually got my first comment about the car (was surprised). Guy was on the other side in a smaller older car, think it was a Toyota and said "how your mpg in that" I said "I can get up to 40 if I really really try I heard". He said something like "wow". We talked a brief second about gas prices (I was putting in regular at $3.78) and went our own ways. Not bad, I was expecting him have some kind of sarcastic thing to say but he was nice.
