An 8-passenger Fit?

Did anyone post about this yet? Looks pretty speculative ... maybe an elaborate joke?
But worth taking a look at .

I'm pretty sure that's what's going to come here as the Honda Latitude, unfortunately. I'd honestly rather have a Stream. Oh wait. I do have a Stream. hehe.

Geeks rejoice!! Paint it white with some red trim and put some star trek serial numbers and decals on there and it would look like one of the shuttle crafts.

Its a van, so i never expect them to look too sexy, as long as they do what they are supposed to do and thats transport people comfortably I dont mind. This coming from a former driver of a Mitsubishi van which wasnt exactly sexy, but damn it did the job, and no one I ever took up to big bear or mammoth ever complained.

It is. But that thing up there looks like a second gen. Toyota bB rear ended an FR-V while the FR-V was in mid-fart.

It doesn't surprise me at all that they'd do this. They've got the Mobilio now and that's based on a modified 1st gen Fit platform, so why not do it w/ the 2nd gens too. Wonder if this would be a next-gen Mobilio perhaps? I should ask my friend, he always tends to have good accurate inside info.

actually...there was one actually on the streets out here in the AV. its one of the prototype ones that ppl drive and make a report on how it was before they put it on the market. shouldnt call it a fit IMO its too fat and overweight

Ok, no need to ask my friend -- I zoomed in on the magazine article photo and it says that they're going from the Mobilio name to using Freed instead, so yes this seems to be the next-gen "Mobilio".

They also do advertising in California for Japanese market vehicles. Honda's done it before, most recently with the Crossroads. I doubt it's something coming to the states.

Honda really needs to bring something like that here, to beat the Mazda 5.

If you look at the pictures closely, I think that I notice rear-sliding doors, rather than the normal doors that the Stream has. THAT IS GOING TO BE WHAT EVERYONE WANTS!!!!

I just took the wife to look at the Mazda 5 today. It's the only thing like it here in the States. I'm starting to see Mazda 5's everywhere - and they are just going to get more popular. We would have probably traded-in the Accord for it today - if the middle row had three seats, instead of two.

On the same note - I saw a 7-passenger CR-V for sale today. Pics or STFU, right? :-)
