I would say seibon for USDM... As far as spoon the best for JDM.. I have found that Spoon tends to have alot of loose weaves.

my spoon hood, the weave is fine, its the resin. there are a few bubbles in it and a small ditch in the resin. i am just going to put a good five or six coats of clear over it and it will be perfect.

Unfortunately USDM folk dont get to experience JDM hoods. But as far as the Best for USDM it is seibon. VIS weaves are poor and fitment is almost always off.

The weave and fitment on both is poor. I'd give my money to Extreme Dimensions before I'd give it to either of them. Can you tell I really hate Seibon? lol They tried to rip off one of my designs, so I'm biased, but they're probably the OPs best bet. But if you have a problem, don't expect them to do much for you.

would this type of hood hurt the motor with all the water it would let in? would it be best to just do a OEM ?

Unless you have an open filter that's going to absolutely soak in a ton of water, you'll be fine. I'm not sure if Seibon's does or not, but some vented hoods come with rain guards too.

go with the vented. there are plenty of people running it without problems.

that hood will be fine. ive had it on my car before. the front vents are acutlly just over the front grill. and the rear centre vent.. really doesnt do enough to matter.

What about Carbon Creations? Them and VIS are the only two that have the design I want, and VIS has already been touched on. I'm not worried about weave, etc. as much as fitment and strength (it's gonna get painted).
