KARR Keyless Alarm System: Yay or Nay?
I've been so used to Keyless Honda FOBS, but the dealership threw in a KARR alarm system for free in my car(I have the Non-Sport). I don't mind the alarm system, but I wondered if anyone has/had this alarm sytem in their car? If they had good or bad experiences?

Hi,
If you search my threads I have written a bit about my experience with the Alarm.
You are lucky you got it for free since that's about what it's worth in my opinion.
It may be good for you to keep it since the base model doesnt have an alarm as I understand-- but then it begs a question from me in that if the karr alarm I was sold I was told works only with the existing alarms, and yours doesnt have an existing alarm, then what would you alarm do if triggered?
Do you have keyless entry in the base model? Does the alarm arm and do the half honk and light flash to let you know it's armed?
Did they give you any specific details as to what triggers the alarm?
PS. I just found this interesting link online with corraborates some of my feelings about this whole situation:

They're worthless when it comes to theft deterence/prevention. IMO, just enjoy the "free" keyless entry...
