TPMS: Question
I got a question, my tire pressure monitoring system warning light went on last night. I was parked on a slight hill facing upward so when i released the parking break and brake my car rolled back and put the tire into the curb just a little bit, its happen before, but then the TPMS warning light came on. All the tires seem fine right now, so what gives?

I work at Costco Tire shop, so maybe I can answer this question. The TPMS may have registered a tire pressure that well above operating pressure because of the curb compressing the tire some. It shouldn't have been too much difference, though. A mystery.

I've had an issue with TPMS once. It was actually the night I bought my Fit. I was driving home when the TPMS light came on (the system light). Turns out when I checked my tire pressure the next day, one of my tires was overinflated by about 10 PSI. I released the air, and after running my car for several minutes, the light went out.
Just thought I'd share the story, hehe.

You need to have a good tire shop or dealer check.

I would say if it stays on or if it comes on again check the tires... the TPMS shouldnt be on unless the tires are below 27psi i believe so that wouldn't make sense if you hit the curb and it went off, because by pushing ur tire on the curb it would force the pressure to raise a bit in certain spots due to basic physics. If you're worried, I would check it out.
