Oh no ?! another "am I getting a good deal" thread

So I'm new to the boards, and I hate starting new threads. I posted in another section, but its buried near the bottom of the sub-threads and doesn't see much love. Anyways here we go ..

A dealer near where I live in central NJ has an 07 SSM Fit sport, manual trans. with 11,500 miles. Asking price is 13,990. He said it has been on the lot for 3 weeks with little to no interest. I have the cash on me and I would like to check it out and possibly buy it this weekend. Here it comes .. Is it a good deal ? My research says yes, but I like extra input when making big decisions. Thanks to all.

ps - really great forum going on here. I frequent ClubRSX but over the years it has become filled with much more young immature punks. It was probably one of those a-holes who stole my RSX too

Yes its a nice deal depending on the condition of the car? If its in like new condition i would snag it. If it has some flaws that your not happy with, i say try to talk to a dealer that will give you near invoice on a new one.

Welcome to FitFreak.net!

Thanks for the welcome. I will be seeing the car for the first time this weekend. All I have to go on at this point are pictures and the dealers description. I'll check the condition of the paint and everything else and price adjust from there. I'm not willing to pay any higher than 14,500 otd. I'll buy it new if he wants more than that.

That's the thing. I'm trying my best to stay within budget and 2k more is too much. My kid is due in 4 months and I'm starting to run out of time. I'm thinking the otd price on a brand new fit (with tax) will put me over

i realize its a sport but i bought my base 07 MT MR fit for 13.500. So personally i think that 13.900 isn't really that great especially with 11k miles

Thanks for your input. I will try and keep an open mind this weekend with regards to buying a new one.

I think paying a little more and getting a new one would make you feel better, or at least it will make me feel better. A new car is a new car. Im enjoying mine, i got like 600 miles on it now.

I'm trying to figure out if I have the money for a new one. I have another person to think about coming soon. And I'm sure I'll miss the hell out of the RSX.

I'm thinking it wouldn't be so bad buying a 1 y/o car though. I remember when I had the RSX brand new, I would freak out over the littlest shit. I wouldn't have to worry about no stinkin break in either LOL

I saw the same car in MI with more miles (not sure how many more I think 20k) for the same price. See if you can go 13,000 out the door.
