salvaged title 07 fit, Good deal?

So I am wanting to buy a fit soon and there is a salvaged titled 07 Honda Fit. It is a Sport with an automatic trans. It has 26K miles on it and there is no visible damaged on the car any more.

The guy told me it is a salvaged title now becuase someone hit the door/front fender.. Now my question is, how much is the car worth? He is asking 11K for it.. Does that seem too high?? Or fair??

I would never pay 11k for a salvage. That may be the going rate, but im not sure. Id say go with a new one if you can swing it.
I never think wreck salvages are a good idea, they usually have weird rattles, and fit and finish usually is compromised. And who knows how the repair job will hold up over time.
If anything theft salvages are what to loom for. But a salvage is a salvge. Id pay an extra 6k and get a brandnew car.

Yeah, I hear you on that. But it seems like the fits rattle any how sooo whats the diff? lol j/p...

Yeah I would be able to swing the extra 5K.. but, damn thats an extra 5K I could save as well.. I am just trying to figure out if I should even bother trying to get this guy to lower his price down, never really seen a salvaged title fit for sale yet.

If it was hit at the fender and door and it was considered totaled, that has to be a hard hit.
I wouldnt buy a totaled car. They never drive the same.

Haha i cant deny that.
But im sure the rattling will be ten times worse in a car that was crashed! Plus mine only seems to rattle in the cold of winter.

Same here when its cold, I pointed that out in that rattle thread. I found where the rattles are coming from. Its not fixable unless the dash is replaced. Even that may not fix it.
Its due to the way the dash pieces are put together. And also the foam against the windshield isnt enough.

Too much $$$ and only buy it if you plan on using it as a project car.

Chances are it has frame damage and the damage exceeded 75% of the total value of the car. I wouldn't get it, you're better off buying used than salvaged.

Thanks for all the feedback. I just wish I could find the deals you all are talking about. 11K for a sport A/T with less than 20K miles and a clean title.. geesh :-)

Maybe I will just go and look at the blackberry pearl fit that is for sale up the freeway from me and call it a day.
