Thanks cKranez
Its a little pet peeve with me when you drive a manual transmission and dont revmatch (whether you heel/toe or just revmatch and brake)
Is it illegal to coast in neutral in some states?
But like solbrothers said, its a lot easier replacing your brake pads then your clutch.

yah, but ive never had to replace a clutch in my MT's... if you rev match
correctly the clutch would have minimal wear... as in, no difference than a
shiftup. drag engaging would have a lot more wear.

AccordGuy, the RSX is faster revving than the Fit? It seems like it wouldn't matter to me, because ideally you're only blipping about 500rpm to downshift which takes a fraction of a fraction of a second. It's more annoying if you blip too far and then you have to wait for the throttle algorithm to finish its burn (rev-hang) before letting the revs back down, which makes you slower.

I feel bad for your auto transmissions to the drivers doing the "rev match."
I have a feeling your trans will make you pay down the line.

RSX doesnt have DriveBy Wire, and the motor actually performs.
The RSX revs fast.

im pretty sure the RSX is DBW, we installed CAI on it a long time ago and i remember that we couldnt rev it under the hood because of the DBW. Are you sure it's not? She has a 2005 RSX Type S

I really do feel that the slow revving is annoying. When i blip the throttle im sure it's more than 500 rpm. I think it's best to get at least a little more rather than trying to get the revs right on. Reason being is i cant always get it right on and catching it UNDER the idea RPM feels nasty... That feeling of you lurching forward is annoying. I think the slow revs would definitely get annoying in the canyons/track.
