How much does the Fit rev at highway speeds..

Not sure how you're doing your math but 0.4/23=1.74% and 0.4/23.4=1.70% if your other numbers are correct.

OP the easiest thing to do is go try the car out on a hiwhay near you. We can all say how the car isn't loud even going 80mph but the reality is you need to experience it for yourself.
Let us know once you've test driven one how you feel about engine noise.

Must be rounding error, my calcs come out the same as I previously posted (as should be expected because this is all simple math):
pi=3.14159, mile=63360 inches
23.4" tire circumference = 73.51", 23" tire circumference=72.26"
23.4" tire revolutions = 861.92, 23" tire revolutions 876.83
Difference = 14.91 revolutions
Still equals 1.7%

Tire size calculator
Actual circumfeance on Base fit is 72.1"
Sport is 73.7
Either way really, it's only about 50rpm difference. at 70MPH

Why would it be a deal breaker?. I still get great gas mileage averaging around 85MPH. Don't forget it's a honda engine in the fit. it will hold 4krpm for like 200k miles. Only problem at 70+MPH is road noise, but it is an entry level econobox. So that's common with ALL cheap cars

Because I'm in the highway a LOT.. usually I get up to 90mph (florida I-75).. and my Sentra at that speed does 3300rpms and it's very quiet even though all the insulation has been removed. I'd really hate having the engine revving at ~4500rpms every day during all the time I'm on the highway..

well i don't find my fit to be loud. The only thing that i was dissapointed in is the fact that the gas mileage is so bad at 70+ But thats my fault because i didn't take that into consideration when purchasing the car. Also i didn't think that getting the base would be that big of a deal but now i wish i had spent the extra just for the damn cruise control.
