DON'T PAY IT! They are trying to squeeze your wallet.I've noticed Honda dealer's(like many other's)around my area, are becoming very sneaky on hiding little charge's here and there.Remember, just because their shipping the car in for you,you don't have to buy.I've had a car shipped from around the state(Mercede'sC55)and when it arrived,I didn't want it anymore(got the CLK-500 instead).I got my 500 dollar's I put down back and moved on.The point is don't accept the car if you feel there ripping you off.Just say I would like my money back and thank's for your help.Period.You also have 3 working day's to renege on ANY contract you might have signed if that come's up.Good Luck.

Which NJ Dealer is this?

Don't pay that fee. That's ridiculous! There's NO such thing.

I've never heard of that fee. My salesman drove 135 miles to get my car and I didn't pay such a thing.

Don't be so quick to not pay this fee. Some dealers have a protection plan that covers you if anything happens to the exterior/interior that they cannot fix/remove (i.e. love bugs, spills, etc.) Our paint is SH*T! Ask them what it entails before you try to get around it.

Careful shipping is their problem, not the customer's.That's the point of the Destination Fee's.That's what your paying for.

Is this referring to my post? Because what I was referring to was protection after the customer had taken possession of it. There is a member on here who was telling me about a "protection" program that they got from the dealer that deals with adding protection to the paint and to the upholstery to help prevent paint chips, stains, and the like. I wish I was offered that since my paint was ate up by dead bugs in no time.

I bought the paint/interior protection, but it sure was not $170.00 More like X3. Worth it, but I don't think that's what the OP is talking about.

Skittles- can you give more detail about the charge?

If it's a protection plan after you own the car,I wouldn't waste my money.Lexus tried that with my old IS300 and all it is for the interior(it's just sprayed with a bottle of scotch gaurd that you can buy at many store's for about 3/4 dollar's)and with exterior they called it under guard protection(rust proofing)which I found they do at the assembly line anyway's.I don't know about Honda, but I've owned 4 and never had a problem with anything other than rock's(which happen to EVERY car).Plus you have the warrenty that cover's all that. The only protection for paint is cleaning and waxing when needed.
