2008 Honda Fit Security System Configuration

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I just purchase my 2008 Honda Fit Sport. Does anyone know how can I reconfigure the alarm settings? Because in my Honda Accord aftermarket alarm system(Crime Stopper) if I forget to activate the alarm or lock the car and leave the car. The alarm arms itself, the car locks and activates the alarm after 30 seconds or so. I'm thinking if there is a way that I can make my Stock Honda Fit alarm system to function like how my Honda Accord alarm system work. Thanks in advance.

Hey man, thanks. That is great info. I did not know that our fit in stock configuration does that. I will observe it this weekend

Crimestopper Rocks

I'm in the process of installing Crimestoppers RemoteStart/Paging system. Crimestoppers rock. With regards to your question, if you have the HONDA Security system, there is a way of programming the alarm. The directions are here:

is this for the stock factory alarm in the sport model? If it is I tried but didn't work for me.

If you have the stock HOnda Fit SPort, the keyless entry is what you have...I believe you have to purchase the Security system seperately...

That's really useful. Like if you lock your car, put the key into your pocket and some how accidently have the unlock button pushed as you're walking away, it'll at least re-lock it.

Now if it'd only auto lock when one is inside and starting to drive off.
