vtec is no longer a set rpm, insted it uses a sort of logic, depending on throttle position
it can come on as low as 2300 i beleive if you have your foot in it, and will be forced on after 3200? no matter the throttle position.
it is the same for all gears

Hmmm...
try a search on here, I know a couple of ppl did the VTEC LED that comes on with its engagement. So Maybe you can find info there on how/what acquires the information or transmits it...

good luck

My search skill on this site stink. I searched on
Vtec
Vtec LED

and nothing in the title looked close to having this info.

Thanks for the props on the MPG. That will be my thing with my FIT. I'm kind of the polar opposite of a Fit Hot Rodder for now

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...completed.html

I just typed in "vtec light", I really dont think at this point it will help you, but... they had to know something right? (sorry but I am too lazy to go and reread the whole thing.... but goog luck .

Yeah I am kinda having fun with the MPG thing now too .
But I am sure when I am more healed up....that I will be a bit heavy footed and spirited so to speak <heehee...muaaahahahaah...

Thanks for the link. I waded threw most of it last night. Saw the links to the service manuals but all the links had failed. I'm going to see if I can get my scanner to pick that point up. I would think it would be available.
It would be of interest to see what the scanner says the fuel flow is when in Vtec. I have seen many comments that say the economy suffers but no real data to support that.... For me it's always in God we Trust... but everyone else bring data.

back to the salt mines for me
