NEVER PAY STICKER PRICE!Try to get as choose to invoice as possible(200/300 over invoice isn't bad).Don't let them tell you limited this/special that.If they do ,walk, you won't be sorry when you find a better price somewhere else(I alway's have) .Trust me,I've seen car's around my area reduced by 10,000 DOLLAR'S and I'm sure their still making a huge profit off them.Do your research first and don't rush into anything you don't feel is in your best interest.Happy Shopping.

in my area noone would go lower than MSRP, so it's up to you.
if you're trading in a car, ask them to give you a better trade... or
throw in floor mats, etc. at the end, it'll could be the same.

i would suggest calling the fleet manager at any dealership. OR , call internet sales. those people make a certain ammount per vehicle sale. It is commission, but not price based as with a pavement pounder.

Dealer invoice is about $14,700 for the Sport MT. So its not as huge a gap as many other cars since the Sport MT MSRP is $15,270 only up $100 from last year. The Base MT invoice is about $13,400. Hope that helps
and Honda dealers due only about 2% hold back, so you can factor that in if you like.
If you pay MSRP that is in no way bad on this car, but it would be nice to go lower, see if you can atleast get things thrown in if you are stuck at MSRP with the sales person.
good luck

Below MSRP and no dealer add ons
Price on new 2008 fit was MSRP plus shipping $635 minus $100 and no dealer add-ons or markups.
The total package is important because dealers may to sell you theft protection insurance, seat guard (can buy at grocery store), vin etching on windows (all major body panels have VIN stickers already and if it is a profession thief - you can forget about finding it), famous dealer preparation fees (for processing the paperwork) normally around $400 ($399 quoted to me)- all of the above are major profit centers for the dealer so be careful.
Using the internet, I arranged for no dealer add-ns and no paperwork processing fees. Final cost out the door - MRSP + shipping - $100 and local taxes and registration.
Good luck

Prices Can Be Tough
I purchased mine in Vegas around 3 weeks ago. I wanted the 2008 sport with manual transmission, sport grill and bra.
Finding a sport with a manual was hard enough. Finding it in the storm grey was even harder. I was dealing with 3 local dealers and an auto broker. I was ready to purchase right then with whoever gave me the best price.
Found that do to growing demand for this little and the low price to start off with, that there seems to be little room for leverage to lower prices.
1 of the local dealers said there were none to be had in what I wanted.
The auto broker said with the options I wanted it would be $18200 out the door with Nevada tax and everything else and could have it here in 4 days.
1 local dealer found one about 150 miles away from Vegas and said with my two optional accessories I could get it for $17480 out the door.
The last local dealer and the Auto broker said they could not match it.
They had the car here the next day and as a bonus the Arizona dealer had already tinted the windows which I could not be charged for.
Total cost was $17480.00 out the door for the 2008 sport, storm grey, manual tranny, sport grill, bra and tinted windows.
Do not know what the breakdown was on all the costs since all I cared about was the final OTD price to me. Felt like I got a decent deal and I absolutely love this car.
Hope this helps on your shopping.
