Fits Getting Cheaper

A dealer has a new fit sport on ebay with a buy it now price of 15,200 bucks. Its a 2008, sounds like a good deal to me. I know its cheaper than what I paid for my 08.
Here is the ebay item number 320212558006

Unless you are buying a new Fit, why would the price of a new car have anything to do with your current car. All cars depreciate when you drive them off the car dealers lot. When the car first appeared here in the US a friend of mine bought a new one for his wife. After she drove it for a few months she decided to trade it in for a bigger car. I guess this was when the price of gasoline declined. He traded it in for bigger car and only lost $700.

With oil going at $100 a barrel Honda has increased the number of Fits in the United States which will increase the dealers inventory and lower the actual price you have to pay to buy a new car.

The price is actually 15450. There is a $250 doc fee. That is still cheaper than anyone I've talked to is willing to sell me here in TX.

I think you've found the exception to the rule.....

I see Fit prices increasing just about everywhere. Just look at used Fits on Autotrader.

The Fit made Car and Driver's 10 best cars (not to mention all the other awards). It will retain it's value far better than most other cars.

car's price is subjective. some people may think spending $15K on a
FitSport is expensive, some might think it's worth all $15K. so dont
think too much about the price.

more people buying the car, the better in some respects as more
aftermarket hopups might be available for the US market.

I paid MSRP for my Fit Sport AT, my parents kept saying it's such a cheap car and asking what's wrong with it.

I wasnt concerned about the price, I was just hoping someone looking for a fit would see the deal. It seems like an excellent price to me.
When I traded my first fit in on a civic si it was six months old and they gave me 15k on trade. You cant beat that for resale value!!

i just looked up fits on DriveChicago.com - 1000s of Vehicles, 500+ Dealers, Chicagoland's Automotive Marketplace esp

most of them are going for exactly the same prices, i mainly checked out auto sports (as that's what i have) and the going price is about $16,700.

there was one for over $19,000, which makes absolutely no sense.

my conclusion is that pricing in this area has been extremely consistent, it was the same way a year ago when i got mine.

That's a great price but that's in OH. Down here in South FL I'm seeing MSRP for a Fit Sport M/T 15,905.00 plus tax and tag and all that jazz!!!

peace,
