New chips to improve mileage?

Has anyone tried a new computer chip (such as the ones for sale by Tuned Engineering on eBay) in their Fit?

Tuned Engineering is claiming another 12 mpg as well as more power. Sounds too good to be true -- and these things usually are.

However, I know that the normal programming is typically very conservative, so the engine may be very capable of more power with less fuel.

Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks.

Scott B.

PS: My mileage has also gone down after the first oil change

Spend your money and get 5 or 6 while your doing it. Think about it an extra 12mpg times 6 WHAOW you could be getting an extra 72 mpg.

Save your money SCAM SPAM.

While your at it, you should try the whistle that makes your car sound like it has a turbo. LMAO.

I'm just playing along, I'm not trying to make fun of you.

Chips like that are a known scam. I'd be worried that it would mess up the car at worst and negatively affect drivability at best. Stay away. Many closed threads on this all over the forum.

Definately snake oil... unless they are selling you a lower final drive ratio!
