Is Someone here finally know (and had resolved) those weird dash rattles?

I took mine to the dealership and they said it came from the right side a piller. They also fixed the peeling paint from my front corners. However the rattling is still there. I gotta find sometime to go back to that dealership.

You know what; I should try and figure out what the noise is. When I worked at Dodge/Jeep I was the person everyone brought the cars to for odd noises. Id always find out what the noise was also.
Maybe I should try and find the noise? I just dont really care that much.

I had the annoying dash rattle for awhile now and i took it to the dealership and didnt hear any noise for a couple weeks but now its starting up again and it sounds louder almost... But it has been a lot colder lately. Soooo i guess i have no choice but to take it back to the dealership and have them try again... hopefully one day it will stop

It its the dash rubbing against the window. It probably only happens when the car is cold because the parts expand and actually "fit" when warm. If you press on the different parts of the dash you can tell that it is loose.
I put 1/4" by 1/16" felt tape on the dash where it presses against the windshield, no noises since. The only thing that I worry about is that the adhesive may breakdown overtime and leave a messy situation in a couple of years. For now though, the noise is gone. =)
Btw you can get the felt pretty cheap, I paid like $.50 for 1 foot strips at the local hardware store.

i'm not sure it is the dash rubbing against the windows.
My dealer put some foam and a noise stop but for the dash rattles, it is still a problem. I think the noise come from behind the radio...
i hope it can be resolved.

So taking about 5min from my morning drive to work today, I turned down my radio to hear the dash noises.
From what I can tell, it comes from the crack where the bottom of the airbag crease meets the dash. Also that plastic panel that surrounds the A/C vents and radio. Where that panel meets the middle of the dash. And the speedometer panel that meets the A/C vent panel. I could press on each panel and make the noise.
Edit. Also the top right corner of the dash at the window. Makes a slight squeak.
I dont think the noises can be fixed. Its where the plastic meets other plastic for a fine tight finish. If anything new complete dashboards (or those pieces) need to be ordered.
You cant stick anything between them, itll look like.... well somethings stuck between it.

I too thought this might solve the "problem", but I'm quite positive the "rattle" I'm hearing is either due to the music, or it's a blown speaker. haha The Honda Fit is definitely a major let down, as I've never encountered so many quality control issues with any of my other vehicles.
