Rear view mirror stretches things wide

Rear view mirror stretches things wide
I searched, but couldn't find anyone else mentioning this, so...
I just got my Fit back after a month in the shop (see Drunk Driver thread). And after a month of driving a PT Cruiser, and then getting back into my fit, I noticed something strange with my rear view mirror.
When I look at cars behind me, they look wider than they really are. It's really weird, and I don't notice after awhile, but when I first get on the road, I see it every time. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not really a problem, it just seems odd. No other car I've driven had the mirror do that.

when i first started driving my fit i felt like the rearview mirror was, i guess, taller than most others?
i had a loaner accord for a few days and that one seemed MUCH wider, i got used to the tallness of the fit's mirror. if that makes any sense at all

YEA.....I dont feel alone... well not really but...maybe someone can relate...
I had posted this in the "what you dont like about your fit"...thread thing
My rearview is really distorted in terms of warping and actual spectral distortion. I actually get a bit of a headache/eyesore when looking through it. So I went to the dealer to check out another fit...and it wasnt as bad but it was still there. However I found if you flip the mirror either higher or lower so that when you tint it you are looking at the either the seats or the roof then its better(if it was worse to begin with otherwise you will make it worse)
Even when it is corrected or just correct and tinted at night I get an eyesore because it is distorted. If I move my head around you see things warp in the rear view.
I have never noticed this in any other vehicle and I think It may have to do with how cheaply the rearview is made. I can easily distort it with my hands and I cant really do that on any other car.
The warpage that I see the most with it is a wave distortion where cars are bigger in certain areas and thinner in others. The paralax of my eyes cant focus properly on objects when looking through it...
I figure I can probably fix this with another cars or aftermarket mirror...
But what a lame problem to have in the first place...
