Those of you with 25,000 miles and up - how's your clutch doing?

I have 33,000 miles on my Fit Sport m/t - and the clutch is starting to act funny. It slipped once about a week ago, and then today while trying to get my car out of the snow and ice in my driveway it started to slip more, and the pedal felt strangely light. Granted I was going hard on the transmission, trying to get it out of the snow bank, but I didn't expect this to happen so soon.

Also, the amount of pressure needed to depress the clutch pedal has started to increase under normal driving. This is the first problem I've had with my Fit, it's been totally great otherwise.

Has anyone else had any issues with their clutches - at any mileage?

Cool

I got an 07' SSM SPORT M/T with 20k on it... just traded in a new 07 focus with 7k on it for the 07 fit with 16k on it... Went to a shitty used car dealer who had bought the car at an auction. It was missing the key to the wheels, the stickshift knob, and the clutch was slipping...

So NORM REEVES HONDA wanted 1600 to fix the clutch... I told "Speedway Auto" and they fixed it for 650. So now the "rattle" is back while accelerating while in gear... but it doesnt slip... I think Its my negligence. It has been over a year since Ive driven a manual trans.. I used to have a crx... 2 actually. one was stock one was b16a swap. So it took me a while to get used to the fit compared to the ol 88 crx.

So when this clutch is gone... i want to UPGRADE to a stage 2 performance clutch of some sort :P

POST-SCRIPT: My Brembo Rotors just came in at Superautobacs! +EBC GreenStuff Pads to boot. Im having my stepdad do all the labor for some kush. So the parts came to 250... and the kush... so close to 300 for the upgrade. I need to have him bleed my old fluid out also... I know that Ive already boiled that shit past it boilingpoint a many times driving 100 on the 91 the all the sudden traffic stops...(while going downhill) I need these brakes

MT MR Fit

26,000 and clutch doing fine. Had the car over a year now. 90% treating the clutch with car, and 10% having fun (you know what I mean).

Just over 51k and so far so good.

Using pokems23's description, I'd say I may be closer to 20 to 25% on the having fun side.

However, you make a good point about the snow driving beating up the clutch a bit. My Fit usually sits when it snows because I have a 4WD Element with snow tires that handles that duty.
