Racing Pedals

Ok the mods for the month of December were a Mugen Rear View Mirror Cover (Thanks Illusive for your help!) and a Mugen Dash Plate:

OK so for the month of January I am thinking of switching out the gas and brake pedal for something more Mugen or Spoon. Does anyone have a set that seem to work good for you without any problems?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cat :x

Go with the mugen a-j's has them for 175 shipped I think. I know they are exspensive but you can not beat the quality and fit. I bought them last year and after having these ( I had momo before ) I would not buy any other brand.

All 3 pedals dont match. If they all looked like the gas pedal then they'd be awesome.
I find nothing attractive about non skid/slip.

The pedals on my Mx-6 look like the gas pedal. All the pedals match. And they were like $8.

Yeah i see what ya mean the non skid is kinda weird, but i still think they are awesome. But not worth $180 IMO.

damn... here i was thinking i was gonna leave the pedals stock cause
i dont need them any closer to my body while driving.

the seating position reminds me of a corolla...ok ok, that was a bit too
blunt even for TOOL. 180 for pedals? you guys crazy?

Seating like a Corolla, that was kinda insulting lol.
But yeah 180$ for two pedals, that Mugen pricing though. Through the roof.

I really want to change my pedals before the rubber starts to wear out. And the OEM's are ugly. I cant find any though.

Definitely Mugen pedals. They are pricey but well worth it. Personally, I like the non-skid material. I think it looks pretty cool, but more importantly, it keeps my foot from slipping off the pedal when my shoes are wet

I recently installed the mugen pedals, and I don't like them that much. My foot slips off the clutch slightly sometimes because the top and bottom of the clutch is a solid strip of metal and not non slip. The non slip is only in the middle which is curved. They look pretty good, and came with everything needed to install, minus the drill.

I would probably not recommend them to anyone, as I found the stock was a bit more stable and comfy to use.

thanks for the honest impression on those pedals. i too was kinda
skeptical on those pedals as they dont seem to have non-slip. those
pedals are probably fine in dry weather but as soon as you got wet
shoes they slip around...

for now im doing the zeta dead pedal and just leave the other stock.
i cant see them while driving anyway. plus with my factory
a/s floor mats... those floor mats are great while new but as soon
as you step inside the car it looks pretty ikky. not something i
wanna be showing off to anyone. lol

When your shoe is wet from rain and you get in your car does it slip on the gas pedal or is it pretty grippy. The gas pedal doesnt have non skid so i would think it would be rather slippery.

gas pedal is slippery i guess, but im not pushing on it the same way i do the clutch. the clutch springs back way more which can result in an awkward small slip when im pushing it down. there is no doubt that they look good though.

If the gas pedal is slippery in the rain that doesnt sound worth $180...

I like that mirror cover. Very colorful and not too ricey.
