China: New 2008 Fit built here?
Anyone knows on which markets the new 2008 Fit is already introduced or will be introduced soon? The old Fits were made here in China , and also exported to Japan, so I wonder when the new Fit will finally come to be sold in China!?
I love the old model too, and I want to buy a Fit, but now is certainly the time towait a bit, eh?
For your info, the base model costs about 9300 Euro in China, the best inhouse CT version sells for 12500 Euro.

Sure?
If you refer to the prices I posted, then yes. These are the equivalent EURO prices of the locally made Honda FIT (current version, not new 2008 version).
About 93000 CNY and 125000 CNY.
I'm eager to buy a Fit, even love the current version, but hey, new version coming out so soon. Just I really wanna know WHEN they'll launch it in China.

The poster was referring to Fits in japan.
Rule of thmb: if it's called a "fit" it's built in japan. If it's jazz, it's built elsewhere.

as stated on wikipedia
The Fit is produced in 5 factories throughout the world. Suzuka (Japan), Sumaré (Brazil), Guangzhou (China), Ayutthaya (Thailand), and Karawang (Indonesia).
Models produced in Japan are for Honda's home market, exported to Europe, as well as Canada and the United States.
The Brazilian factory supplies all of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Chinese models are sold in the region, and also exported to Europe.

Just look at your VIN. If it starts with the letter J...it was assembled in Japan. The first letter represents the country where it was assembled. You can search on google for the country codes.
I know 2 means Canada
1 and 5 mean the US
W for Germany....etc.

And it doesn't even make economical sense for Honda to do that,...
