American Honda Motor Co., Inc., posted record November sales of 111,431 Honda and Acura vehicles, up 4.7 percent*, surpassing the previous November 2006 record of 106,446, the company announced today.

American Honda year-to-date sales increased 2.7 percent* to 1,419,750. Honda Division year-to-date sales increased 4.8 percent to 1,257,228.

Honda Division posted record November sales of 98,521, up 10.4 percent compared to last year. November records for individual models included the CR-V with sales of 16,498, up 1.6 percent, and the Fit, with sales of 5,361, up 106.0 percent for the month. Sales of the all-new Accord increased 25.2 percent to 28,161. Sales of the Civic increased 24.8 percent to 25,141; the Civic Hybrid increased 46.6 percent to 3,238.

"Even In these uncertain times, our bread-and-butter products are showing real growth," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda. "The all-new Accord continues to set a blistering pace with sales up by more than 25 percent."

Acura Division posted sales of 12,910 for November. The MDX sport utility vehicle led the division with sales of 4,891. November sales of the TL performance luxury sedan totaled 4,064; the TSX sports sedan totaled 1,884. Sales of the RDX sport utility vehicle totaled 1,679.

*The daily selling rate (DSR) is calculated with 25 days for November 2007 and 25 days for November 2006. Year to date, the DSR is calculated with 281 days for 2007, versus 280 days for 2006. All percentages reflect DSR.

Wow, the Fit is really picked up some steam from last year. Only selling 200 cars less than the Versa and 100 less than the Yaris, the Fit keeps getting closer and closer to overtake the number one spot as the most sold subcompact car in a month. Great news for Honda.........I wonder if this is when Honda is limiting allocations of Fits to North America? Bleh, trying not to get too geeked out with numbers.

For my selfish needs this isn't good news.....what if Honda sees no reason to bring out the new Fit becuase of the strong sales of the current Fit?

Dont worry the new Fit IS coming to American in less then a year from now. That has been confirmed according to a few trusty websites. When the new Fit comes its going to sell like crazy. Its going to be everywhere and sales numbers for Honda are going to go through the roof. The first gen Fit will be rare when the 09 hits them market.
Thats my eductaed guess. Id be willing to bet on my prediction though!

Nah, they wouldn't continue to make the same last gen car while making the current gen for any long length of time.. not simultaneously anyway. They could pull smoke and mirror tricks out of their hat if they wanted, ie: Our honda Accord vs. Europes Accord (which was really our Acura TSX).

The current gen Fit is "rare" anyway as far as production numbers, so for Honda to bring the (in Japan) MY08 fit to North America in 09 will make it a little bit more exclusive, but for a >$16K car, I'm not sure it's that big of a deal.. It might be for some collector of B-cars 25 to 30 years from now...

This is likely a fourm worth accompanying. You’ve got an amazing bargain to express regarding this subject, and so far information. I believe that you expertise to make individuals listen to what you need to declare, specifically with an issue this is so imperative. I am happy to see this fourm. Several vast thumbs up, man

I read this on Motor Trend last week and thought this was interesting since there seems to be such low inventory of Fits at US dealers.

Honda Fit: Though it originally launched with the slogan “the Fit is go,” Honda’s B-segment subcompact was not go in April, as it dropped 60.5 percent at 3202 units sold. Starting with the 2014 model year, U.S.-spec Fits will be made in Mexico.
