Got off my lazy arse and got the megan off and uploaded some picts.

Then wifi went out at my house. Need the wife to take a look at it later. Lol

The megan looked much getter than expected. The flange was very clean too.

Hope to sell quickly so that I can get some other things for my car. Oh crap, just remembered that I forgot to do the shift knob... Guess ill work on that tomorrow.

TOOL- i really dont have many choices to tell you the truth...
ideally the car i want is a wagon with MT and V6.

if i want to keep MT and boxy shape it'd be something like a Clubman-S, STI...

If i make the compromise of not havening MT, yet keep the boxy shape... i might consider a A3 or A4 Avant.

If i make the ultimate compromise of not having MT and letting go my boxy shape, my choices are:

TSX V6, new Maxima, possibly Accord V6.

... so not really focused yet on what i want.

im also going to look at SUV's and even re-consider the Odyssey for its utility.

The new Maximas interior is beyond awesome!
TSX would be cool, id get the 4cyl maual though. Accord V6s are nice cars, they just bore me. And im sure theyre boring as hell to drive. You considered VW Passat CC? One of the best looking cars under 30k$ IMO. Interior is spot on, sat in for like an hour at the car show last year. One of my favorite cars of the show. If you can get passed the swooping roof line and no rear seat headroom. haha. Or maybe not the CC, just the passat? Orrrrrrr, the new VW GTi. You can get in the 4door manual. That car is damn nice for the money.

TOOL - yah, i too think the Accord sedan might be boring...it has no paddles either. i kinda want to get away from 4cylinders and that was the reason why i didnt note the TSX 4banger MT. so ideally STI and MINI are both out.

i haven't tried out any of the VW's as of late. the last time i was over at the VW dealer was back in 2007 when i bought my GD... i was looking to get the R32. not sure if they changed at all, but my local VW dealership are bunch of a-holes like our local mazdah and subaru dealer.

my nissan dealer, honda, and acura, infiniti have all been great.

fictious just posted up that Acura confirms the euro accord-wagon as TSX -wagon for 2011. i might keep this option open as well...hope they offer a V6 and MT (probably not). maybe 4banger MT...

in other FitS related news...

no much going on today. hahaha. but i hope to remove the shift knob tonight and put the stocker on so that i dont have cold hands.

i also want to remove the cluster so that i can e-tape up the TPMS lamp. so that when im ready to sell the car i dont have to scramble for stupid RF transmitters. hahaha. i need to first find the DIY...

so are you planning on selling the GD? if you do, i'd really like your Enduras! you sold me on them after reading reviews so sooner or later i'll have em.

have you given any thought on the Legacy wagon/sedan as a DD? gosh i love em. I also liked those MS6s and almost wanted to trade my fit for one. But then i came to the realization that it weighs a ton more than a Fit and the fact that $5 of gas would no longer be enough for an adventure

accordguy- yah, but that wont happen until next spring.

actually i had bad luck with a 06 legacywgn (bought new) so i sold it to get the GE... problems after problems including poor dealer service so im not really fond of subaru's. the new legacy's looks kinda werd to me too...

so i was driving to work with the factory shift knob this am... that must be one of the most ergonomically INCORRECT shift knobs of all time. the little detents on the lower half of the knob feels like shit and almost an ichy feel. yuk.

so regardless of my hands being cold, im going back to my TypeR knob tonight. hahaha. man, it's TypeR for a reason.

anyway, i noticed after removing my megan axleback that power is somewhat gone. i can feel it on my arsedyno and it's like i lost about 7-8whp. no joke. the megan does improve overall throttle response and top end power. so i guess i'll go buy another one now. jk jk

ken! first you get rid of your mini and then the fit! what are you doing? i think you'd like the civic si sedan, but i think its too similar to the g35..in terms of utility..

nono, i still have both my FitS's! im *thinking* about selling the GD for a new dd next year. nothing concrete yet.

yah, as far as utility goes, i too think the civic's trunk (ive had the 06 EX sedan when i traded in for the GD) is kinda small for the stuff i need to carry some times.

the issue is lately (started about 2months ago) ive been
getting VERY IRRITATED by noise when something is
pushed hard. like loud exhausts and intakes.. i want to push the car all the way to redline and want the car to sing to me, not RoooaaAAARRrrr!

so that's where things started for me.

and the shift knob...well you saw my post above. the factory knob sucks big time so im putting the R knob back on tonight.

hahaha. yah, there are few of my buddies at the MINI forum that's looking at the new TSX wagon as well... probably wont be available until very late 2010 or early 2011 so not sure if i want to wait that long.

and the price can potentially be kinda high... like we're kinda just roughly estimating $38K for V6... it's like Odysse Touring territory and i know my wife's going to be like... hey kensan, you know your loving wife and kids can really use a Odysse instead of an overpriced glorified Accord wagon.

so i need to think quickly and quietly.
