so i saw a 2018 Golf-R today on da way home. i honestly dont like dat new front facia and the cheap looking side sills. on my 17 Golf-R it has real side skirts/rockers and rear diffuser that are dedicated to da R. and i put the maxton designs side diffuser (and rear spats) and CF front lip so it looks da way a sport hatch of its demeanor should.
the refresh Golf-R looks cheap with da painted GTI diffusers with no dedicated side sills.. and dat front mustache bumper.. im so glad i didnt get da DSG one.

To answer GAFIT, since San Diego proper is (325 sq miles) and a rough population of 1.4 million people our density is roughly 4300 people per square mile. That doesn't include large incorporated areas.
If we did San Diego county, its more like 4525 square miles and a rough population of 3.3 million people which makes our density a meager 730 people per square mile. Granted a lot of that 4525 is desert/forest/state land.
Told the GF to wait a few days on iOS12 for her 7 MAX....I mean 7 Plus. Besides the size and the screen, I don't really see any reason for her to upgrade to a Xs. They say that Xs should be read as 'ten S' but I can't help by say it like the word 'excess'...which is much more appropriate for more apple products haha.
Got 2 interviews lined up this Thursday. Looking forward to them...though they are back to back...lets see if my brain survives. Same company, different departments/positions. One is for a Sr. mechanical engineer and other is for a Systems engineer position.
So
Happy

...and then I see the prices. No thanks!

Thanks! Already met both groups and they seemed excited to bring me on....lets hope they still feel that way after the interviews haha.
Only complaint (assuming I land either one), is it'll increase my commute 5x.
Current commute is 5 miles one way. New commute would be roughly 25 miles one way. SO much for driving less than 8k a year haha.

Y'all live in some, what we country folk call, congested areas.
The county I now live in has less people than the subdivision I moved from in South FL. Pretty funny and stark comparison. I miss the selection of restaurants. That's about it.
shinjari, good luck on the interviews!

Started installing the steering wheel on the Fit last night. Trying to decide if I want to keep the clock spring stuff or just remove everything and go old school. Maybe even run without a horn since there's little use for one in the mountains. Would mean a cleaner install and less junk.
Right now I'm trying to find the right length spacer/adapter. I don't want to have multiple things bolted together to get the length. Trying to find a way to get it moved closer with just two pieces. So far it's looking like it will take 3. An adapter, a spacer, and then the quick release.
What's strange to me is that the adapters I see for the Fit are "short" hubs to move the steering wheel closer to the dash. Who in the world would want that on a GD Fit? The darn thing is already a mile away from the driver.

mang interviews back to back is tuff. i guess just don’t say “like i told da other place”. lol
gafit yah i think i used 30mm on my GD back in da day. otherwise the turn signal stalk felt out of place. id still run da horn. never know might save u from colliding with an idiot crossing da road or something.

25 miles in grid lock traffic is good? lol. If it was a cruising 25 miles I wouldn't mind. But when my current 5 mile drive at rush hour takes me 30 minutes...I cringe at the hour or so it'll take to do the 25. Different route, so it should be about an hour.
And I saw Audi announced their e-SUV Tesla fighter.

Ordered an NRG hub adapter to try. I'm not liking the generic honda one that I bought. The NRG one is specific to the GD, GE, s2k and a couple other models. Has provisions for the clockwheel and looks like it will sit flush with the factory plastic surround.
The one I have required removing the clockwheel and leaves a gap between it and the factory surround. Guess I better put that clockwheel thing back together. LOL. That was a mess to remove.
