hey there shinjari! hope you're enjoying ur halloween. i know my kids are.. older kid's been handing out candy to all the trick or treaters. ive been monitoring the cameras outside to make sure kids dont mess with my GTI. lol not really.
sorry to hear about the weather. 50% chance sounds more like a toss up, might be cloudy and no rain! actually if ure planning on using soap solution a little rain is not really an issue unless you dont like getting wet or something. id just make sure i have a tack solution with like higher content alcohol than usual. if its pouring then different story..

got gas on the way home in my GTI... i just let it auto click and to my surprise, stopped exactly at 10.00 gallons. haha. silly me, kinda excited i accidentally hit "no" when the pump asked if i wanted a receipt.. oops. just took a snap with my iphone.
got home, did a few chores and now relaxing.
the GK's air filter came in so ill swap it out tomorrow. not bad, $15 for the oem one delivered.

on the menu today... going to work and back in my GTI then swap the GK's air filter, bring up the snows from the basement storage. will give them about 34psi and let them adjust to the ambient air until maybe tomorrow or Friday whichever is not raining and swap them.

rain today.. no air filter swap on the GK but my kid helped me bring up the snows to the garage. pumped them up high in anticipation the psi will drop a couple of psi as its quite cooler in the garage vs basement.
then went through my drawer that has all sorts of DIY's and manuals and dumped all the old car stuff in my recycling bin... had like a stack of paper for the different cars i had the last decade. haha
older kids making us mapo tofu tonight.

Appointment to have fiber optic installed at my house today. Whoohoo! Can't wait to ditch this slow DSL and move into modern society. Sounds basic to you city dwellers, but it's a big thing for us out in the country.

I now have fiber! Biggest thing for me for changing was the upload. DSL is restricted thanks to government bs and I have to send files every day, all day to customers.
Speed test through wi-fi fiber:
93.3 Mbps down
85.4 Mbps up
Speed test through wi-fi DSL:
3.5 Mbps down
.62 Mbps up

Wow thats quite the improvement
I have cable still but its 150mbps...which is decent. I can download p2p files as fast as 10mb/sec.
Unfortunately despite being in a big city not all areas have fiber access. They are still laying out the infrastructure for it. 150mbps is plenty though...granted I wish it wasnt $90/month. But to next lower tier is 50mbps for $75....so not really saving a ton but losing some bandwidth.
Vinyl came in.
Not sure if any of you are amazon prime members but I am and hate when I want something "same day" but need to get to $35...and my cart is at $33...where are my $5 and under prime items?
Plan tomorrow is to do oil change on GF's elantra. Restore headlights on elantra and miata. Pull Foglights on miata to restore them as well as vinyl wrap them yellow. Maybe vinyl wrap the windshield frame.
If I have the energy/time I'll pull and vinyl the civic fogs as well.
Hopefully watch Thor sometime this Saturday.

oh yah i'm a prime member and know wat ure talking about. plus their local amazon delivery sucks so bad they deliver like after 8pm and leave it on my driveway..so it's like next day i find it. same day should be before 3pm on the porch!
plus some of them place it in odd spots around the house!! like a faking treasure hunt.

My only choice before today was DSL through Windstream. Fastest offered was 6 Mbps for $50/mo +++ came to like $65/mo. Rarely actually got 6. Was closer to 3 and that's only download. Up was never over .65.
My two new added choices as of today through my power company are:
$70 for 1 Gbps up/down
$50 for 100 Mbps up/down
The 100 is such a leap forward for me that I didn't sign up for the 1 Gbps. May upgrade in the future.
The service light on the new modem finally stopped blinking. My speed is now testing at:
96.43 down
96.22 up
I'm a happy customer!

yah, kinda like that. in my case why would amazon delivery put my package on the driveway though. its like visible from the street screaming 'free to new home!' so stupid.
