Sorry, did not see this post.

No go for me then...

hey np onemiglandicho.

yah, i usually end up keeping my iphone out of my pocket and away from any tools to prevent scratches while im working on my cars, so having the mount on the workbench where no tools or parts would hit the phone would be convenient.. especially when the cradle can also charge the phone too!

so i took the family out for a quick roadtrip this weekend in the GK. ive only driven this car like 3-4 times so it was still new to me even though i bought it for the wife last summer. even started the car using my left foot on the brake pedal thinking there's a clutch (her car is CVT). lol

driving in congestion was fine, kept a good distance in front of us as i do while driving my MT cars in bumper to bumper. i personally think driving MT in congestion is less work vs AT as the car can creep much slower. i rarely use my brakes in congestion. the CVT allowed the GK to creep at a slower speed than what i remember in the 09 GE AT so that was a big plus.

arrived at the destination only to find a TINY parking structure where the turns are tight and very narrow. lots of steep ramps too. it was so small it reminded me of parking garages in japan. lol

i was 100% convinced my modded cars would not be able to go through this garage without scraping because the ramps were so steep going level to level. but the GK handled it like a champ. backing into tight parking space was no issue, excellent visibility, nice tight turns too. definitely a car that lives up to its name. i can see why my wife likes her GK.

ordered up a few sets of wiper blade refills, 0w20 mobil1 green cap, and a few oil filters for the GK.

oh yah, and a couple of Griot's orange pads to do the one-step sealant as soon as temps are in the upper 60F's.

That reminds me, I need to get new pads and wiper inserts as well. I've yet to do the CR-Z and the GD3 is due soon.

Yah I got my refills set for the wife's GK the other day. I like how they package the longer one in a large bag in a u shape inside. Some shops were shipping the GE refills by bending them into a small box making a near permanent fold mark.

Hope to get the oil soon... Amazon started carrying the 5qt jugs at a near Walmart price and they sell out like hotcakes. Lol.

Finally got the 0W20 green cap yesterday. also got new plate frames to finally replace the dealer frame on the GK. Lol

As soon as it gets a tad warmer I'm going to wash and detail it. I want to wash the engine bay too. Also check for any chips on the hood..

Yah after the mess my 09 was, especially the engine bay, I made it a routine to wash it every spring real well. My 12 looked real clean when I sold it even after 4 salty winters.

ive not had a chance to do the GK's oil change or the sealant, but i did try HydroMax on my other car. thing is super easy to apply, did not smear even at 40F. wow! and the gloss is very nice.

definitely check it out. it's a sealant in a spray form. paste sealants are outdated now imho!! im getting the larger size refill next time for sure.
