yep. the stereo sounds pretty decent for an oem system.

besides maybe adding a front splitter, i want to keep this car stock.

I'm at a phase where I want to just drive cars as is and no side effects to be concerned about. Unless there's some flaw I want to fix with aftermarket bits.

 

Looks like I have a warmish weekend coming up. Will work on swapping back parts on the GE.

 

got new prodrives coming to me for the STI. i really dont want to, but thinking about wrapping some DWS06's on there. i checked out other a/s tire reviews and they all suck. lol

#1 is the DWS06, #2 is the BFG tires in rating, but i dont want BFG's on my cars.. plus they are not asymmetrical. manufacturers should stop making those old school designs and just concentrate on asymmetrical treads.

i was quite surprised to see how low the pilot a/s tires were rated.. guess they stopped doing any engineering on those tires and put all their efforts in their PSS and alpin tires.

Yah I'm going to work on the muffler Friday. If you're still interested in the stereo and trim I think I'm going to sell those too. My left ankle appears to have cured so probably won't be needing to buy an AT car as back up.

 

dug out the stock headunit and muffler, stock springs, some other stuff from my storage last night.

was bittersweet knowing my GE will be gone by next week..

i have only a few mods that i am taking off the car which mike410b already has dibs on. car's going to be sold with the swifts and the intermittent wiper stalk, and the gunmetal wheels and tires with tpms.

everything else i am taking off the car including the clearbra if i have time so that the next owner will have a nice clean bumper.

oh yah, last weekend my wife drove me to the subaru dealer in her GK. i wanted to report back on the husky floor liners on the passenger side.
no issue, it has not slipped at all in her car.


its been so good that i actually have a set installed in my STI too.

 

got the tanabe muffler off the car and swapped back the wheels. will swap back the HU tomorrow afternoon.

dang, i am out of shape... tired as hell. lol i did work on my STI a little bit so that also contributed to my out of shapeness...

 

drove my GE with the stock muffler to get some gas and to re-torque the lugs.

wow, the stock muffler alone made the car about 50% less fun to drive. definitely get the tanabe axleback for those looking to get into a GE.

 

took the GE out for a short 3-4hr roadtrip today removed everything left over, my GE is back to as stock as it can be.

will take it to a car wash tomorrow..hope to sell it on monday for a decent price.
