It's a solid piece. The materials used is automotive quality, meaning it can withstand extreme temperatures.

It's plastic right? I can't see how it's $29.99 worth of plastic, but that's me.

I have a gps mount that was $7. It was worth that and I wouldn't spend more for it. If you like yours that's fine but no need to be condescending...

freezing rain today, wife mentioned no issue with the GK on WS60's. tires are about 1/2 worn on the treads but still going strong. this is the last season on the tires, will replace next Fall.

pulled out my GE to run a few errands yesterday... been over a week since i drove last time. need to do a few errands today too.. with about 1/4" of ice on the car, i need to let it defrost first. i hate idling the car...

k, so the f-king pos DWS nearly caused 2 spin outs requiring me to do an over 45 degree counter steer just going straight under 40mph, lol, and my car got stuck going up a parking lot entrance not twice, by three times.

so placed order for new 16" WS80's and my preferred cheap wheel, the Tirerack C1's in gray color. while i still plan to sell my GE next Spring, i rather have the car in one piece. and will use the new snow set on my wife's GK.

I nearly got stuck in my work parking lot heading home in this mess, worse conditions I've driven in in a long time!

Happy to see the last paragraph until the last sentence.

Was all ready to drive down this spring and buy them from you

Yah it was real bad yesterday. Good thing I will be receiving the snow set tomorrow.

Hey if I don't mind the 15" Borla wheels I can sell you the snow set on the GK for cheap in the Spring. It's got about 1/2 or so tread left, was gripping fine yesterday per my wife. I'm thinking like $100 for the whole thing? It's got some curb marks but nothing functionally wrong with them.

DWS is NOT a Ice tire.. its a Dry/Wet/Snow tire, the Blizaks or equivalent are a whole nuther game.. Thats why they have no tread wear rating.. I torched a set once with a 200 mile trip in 80 degree weather..

That being said my All wheel drive BMW loves the DWS and I have yet to find any surface they don't work on except for pure glare ice. Nothing but chains or spikes work on that..

i dont like halfarsed tires aka all-seasons (aka no seasons). i rarely buy all seasons but since people were raving about the DWS i decided to try it a while back. i know its limitations since this is the 3rd yr running it.

all seasons basically suck. u should try blizzaks on your AWD. i did that on a legacy a while back. thing was solid on all surfaces.

been driving on the WS80's the last couple of days; they actually feel pretty good. feels more performance oriented and stiffer than the DWS 205/50/16's.

the WS80's are factory size, 185 watever the profile was. can't complain.

I love the gray on the C1s. Just wish the paint quality was better.

Still a good overall deal for the price though!

The paint held up pretty good on the set I had on my GD.. (?)
I like how light these are.

They're one of the best weight per buck wheel you can get. On one set of my C1s the paint cracked and flaked off where the center cap inserts (I removed them since they were fugly and could potentially fly off while driving due to being loose). That's my only quirk with them.

Agreed!
Actually even nicer wheels tend to crack paint if you remove ur center cap so not a huge issue as long as the chip is getting bigger.

took a couple hundred mile road trip this week with my new V1. i sent two units in for updates last month and finally got about 10+hrs using it in the real world. The new 't' feature which ignores modern day car's lane change warning, proximity radars is very good!

can't wait to install it on my hobby cars in 8-9 more weeks.
